Someone please explain to me how having the Quick Launch Toolbar is any quicker or easier than just having those shortcuts on the start menu. Both the Quick Launch Toolbar and the Start Menu require two clicks to launch a shortcut.
Hey! I am on Windows 11.
The menu you are looking for (Toolbar) is not supported by Windows 11.
I am running Windows 10 and the folder that appears in the native Windows 10 Start menu is the default for Windows 11. It is not the default for Windows 10. I don't know if it is being picked up from IconPackager or somewhere else in the OS. I do have the OS set to show thumbnails on files, but have show thumbnails on folders disabled using the following Registry key. <span style="font-family: Cali

Not sure I understand " Minimizing will defeat the purpose." You could assign a keyboard shortcut to a key on your keyboard to minimize the active window on the desktop. Windows key + Down Arrow = Minimize the active desktop window. To then open Task Manager on the desktop again, use the keyboard shortcut: W
After unloading Start11 using "Start10tweak" there is still a slight delay in closing Task Manager, however it is not as long of a delay as with Start11 enabled. I can see how this might get annoying if you are opening and closing the Task Manager multiple times during the day. Will simply minimizing the Task Manager screw up your benchmark testing process? Tested on Windows 10 build 19045.2194, Start11 ver. 1.31
Crazy! I went to test this today and it seems to be working as expected now!

Turn on "Show more tiles on start" to get four columns of medium icons or eight columns of small icons.
Hello, Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, why you post two threads on the same issue? Thanks Basj, Stardock Community Assistant.
I wasn’t sure if this was an IconPackager or Start11 issue so I posted on both forums to be safe.
Start11 All Apps section in Windows 10 Style does not pick up the folders chosen in IconPackager, whereas the Windows 10 Start Menu does. The Start11 Windows 7 and Modern Styles do pick up the correct folder icon, where the Windows 10 and Windows 11 Styles do not. Does Start11 pick up the folder icon from a different location than the Windows 10 menu? Is there a way to correct this by making a change in the Registry?
A bit of info I can't find anywhere: Is it possible to choose a key combination to launch the Start11 start menu? I am thinking of CTRL Win or Alt Win. Or could this be added in an update?
In the Start11 Configuration Control settings you can set the left Windows key to open the Start11 menu, and if you have a right Windows key on your keyboard you can set it to open the Windows Start Menu. I can confirm this issue on Windows 10 build 19045.2194, Start11 ver. 1.31. If "Use Start11 search in the Start11 start menu" is turned on, the search menu is blank in all four start menu styles. It worked briefly and then went blank. It does not repaint with mouseover. If "Use Start11 search in the Start11 start menu" is turned off, the windows 10 search works as expected. pelaird
If I were to guess, I would say it wants you to download and install Start11. I don't believe there have been any updates to Start10 since Start11 (Stable) was released.
I would assume that a lot of Start11 users are people who like to tweak their systems. These folks are probably more inclined to run Insider versions. There seems to be a lot of bug reports from Insider Beta and Development version users in this forum. I respect and stand by your stance on support for Insider versions, but maybe it would be useful to have a separate thread for these users to report bugs. This would only be a place to report bugs and issues to the development team, not a place
Thank you again for your reply. Yes, the "select all" works... but the "option" box is not allow to open up if more than one selection is made. Select all does select everthing, but the option box is needed to un-select the icons as favorites. If DeskScapes would allow the options to open and operate when more than one object is selected.. then it would all be very simple. Regards, Dan Carignan<br /
Unfortunately just like every version so far, I still cannot drag icons from the Start11 menu to the desktop with Windows 10 Style. RUnning Start11 1.31 beta and latest Windows 11 Pro. Dragging just pins it to the start menu. Does anyone even care about this beside me?
Right click and select "more" and then "Create shortcut on desktop." Not exactly what you are asking for, but still very easy.
The pull down menu for shortcut size changes if you hover over it an scroll with the mouse wheel. I accidentally change this from time to time when scrolling the settings window. Just be sure to check this setting before you close the settings app.
I assume you are referring to Animated Backgrounds (Dreams) when you refer to "motion/video." I am running Windows 10 Pro 19045.2075 and have been running DeskScapes 11 (ver. 10.96, 11 beta 5) for more than a year and have not experienced this issue. There is no reason DeskScapes 11 should be using an inordinate amount of Network resources. It is more likely that something with your system configuration is in conflict with DeskScapes 11 causing this issue. Have you tried disab
I have been using Groupy since December of 2018 through multiple Windows 10 OS upgrades without any issues. I am currently running Windows 10 Pro 19045.2075. Your issues could be a corrupted installation of Groupy or a compatibility issue with another app you are running. As a first step, I would also suggest a purge and re-install as basj suggests. Important! Run the purge and then reboot your computer; install Groupy from a fresh download from your account; and this is really import
