that is a bit odd... I can only find info on things becoming a messed up if you have done an upgrade... you might check one spot tho... msconfig.exe are the item in startup not represented with a check under the tab called oddly enough "startup" you might also take note of the path because you have now added these two items too the registry run key. (just so you don't confuse them you should see two instances of these progs) <A HREF="https://www.wincustomize.com/index.asp?Cmd=full&NewsI

when you launch ObjectDock by clicking on it, does it work? If so I would have to wonder if others are also using the same computer. XP Pro can be setup to prevent you from runing files at startup intentionally. Do you have admin rights? Lots of Q's not too many answers yet. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb

motion I'm willing to bet that the $600 computer is XP Home. So your full version XP Home is $300 or an upgrade for $150. When I consider the costs involved in purchasing software like Photoshop or Corel Draw... the operating system that runs it all is not so expensive. Most users even advanced users don't require XP Pro for their personnal PC. In my case I opted for XP Pro... mainly so I could be more familiar with it, since my work involves supporting users of XP Pro. <img src="http://imag

98 is questionable MS will discontinue active support this year for win98. Their knowlege base and current downloads will of coarse remain online. To expect software vendors to continue to support an operating system that even the OS maker no longer supports hmmmm.... can we really?

There is away... I am assuming that you are using XP... now I use XP Pro and can not be sure this will work on the Home version. You will have to definitely be logged on as administrator and on the run command type "gpedit.msc" this will launch the group policy editor. expand "administrative Templates" and chose "desktop" you will see on the right handside and option to "remove recycle bin icon from desktop" this works great and no need to enable the still buggy active desktop. <img src="http:/

Pocket blinds has an option to not skin the app bar... have a look and make sure yours is set correctly. I use this feature of pocketblinds because I prefer to use wisbar to skin the taskbar area ... but I like to have the command bar and buttons skinned as well. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0

I wrote my website in notepad, without any experience. I learned html by viewing sources by right clicking on other pages. Two things I hate about any website: pop-ups and frames. I know its not that great but I'll have time one day to improve it. http://www3.sympatico.ca/william.leblanc oh yeah and I got the java stuff from http://dynamicdrive.com/ <A HREF="https://www.wincustomize.com/

ditto... I created a dashboard awhile back and can not get a hold of the original author ( unanswered emails... only 2 but I don't want to be a nuisance) So I removed the material that I was not able to get permission for... I keep that version for meself which is ok by me. <A HREF="https://www.wincustomize

not only win 95 but also win 98 ... however MS released a patch for win 98. has to do with the "Netbios" if it is open and awaiting sessions it is possible to send a malformed request to a vulnerable machine and cause a blue screen, freeze up or spontanious reboot. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=
