When they level up you need to pick up the various magic levels for them (i.e. earth apprentice, death disciple, etc.). This opens up more spells for them to use. I.e. if you want to use burning hands you have to be able to use fire magic. Hope that makes sense. Of course you have to have found that spell or researched it somehow as well.

No problem installing on 2 computers here.
Quoting GW Swicord, reply 73Quoting RavenX, reply 70LoL...Well thanks .... newbie he says....sheesh. Dude, it's a matter of perspective. Some of us around Stardockia were hot for NotMoM back when there was some hope that whoever bought the name rights from Microprose would cut a clean deal for a sequel. My memory isn't that good for dates, but I think that phase was maybe a year or more before the game even had a street name
Yep, same problem here.
I went to complete this quest with just my sovereign at level 1 (ok stupid I know). Anyway, I saw I was going to die so I used an escape scroll I had found. However, I could never finish the quest after that. I came back later and defeated the butchermen, but never got the reward and the quest location still showed up on the cloth map (but not on the left of the screen).
Really, I can never get it to work at all. My scouts just sit their doing nothing half the time.
I entered into Relias' territory and he asked me to leave, I agreed, and I was automatically put on an island out in the ocean near his territory. Possibly not a bug, but very mean. :(
I think the key thing to understand is that EWOM != (does not equal) EFE, so despite EFE improving on several things that EWOM did, it does not do everything that EWOM did nor was it ever intended to improve upon everything that EWOM was. It is a completely different game that you get for free for having bought EWOM. Because EWOM had it doesn't mean EFE must have it. Simple fact, and MP is not the only thing that has been left out for the sake of simplicity or im
I hope this isn't a bug... It is my ultimate secret weapon. I love fighting the spiders named fluffy, lolo and clyde next to my city. :0
You are all ignoring the fact that even if it had awesome MP, the number of people who purchase the game that will really use the MP system is a very low % of the user base. Simple fact, most people never play these type of games in MP. Doesn't mean it isn't fun, or that Stardock shouldn't add it in, it just means you have to factor that in your decision on what to work on. Purple Paladin, no need to attack people by calling them game loner
After a few loads,
Wait, so you are loading a few times within your game? Isn't that one of the known issues that Frogboy mentioned would be problematic? Loading a game within a game (i.e. reloading after you fail a combat or something).
a couple notes, the game is actually always in windowed mode, if you change your resolution it will be smaller and in a window, not stretched full screen at lower res some of these are bugs (the overlap, the string not found, range info on spell tooltips) and others I will pass along. edit: is anyone else getting string not found errors on that screen? I see the text there f
I don't get you people. It does not take any more time than playing single player. What 4X MP games have you been playing that takes for ever to play? My average 4x SP game takes about 2 weeks of time to finish (I only play on the largest map with max Enemies selected.) With Simultaneous (which any good MP TBS game should have) it takes the same about of time (Sometimes it is even quicker.) Having a timer is nice wh
Same with me, I've crashed right after saving/during saving. Sent in my crash log and debug.err file. I would recommend starting a new game, most likely your save is corrupted. I should mention that was only 1 crash for me in several hours of playing. Most of the time it was smooth sailing, well except for the monsters that killed me and my champion, but that is another story. [e digicons][/e]
Make sure you attach your debug.err file (see the reporting FE Bugs topic for details).
I really fail to see the "I didn't get what was promised" argument. You may not have liked the MP in EWoM, but it was there. So you were never lied to. FE was never sold to you as guaranteed to have MP, in fact as has been pointed out, Frogboy announced that MP was in jeopardy months ago and most of the people responded that they wanted him to focus on SP over MP. I would love to play with other people, but even if FE has MP I will never play it:
I think I am a little sick... maybe need to take tomorrow afternoon and Friday off from work ::cough:: ::cough:: [e digicons][/e]
So no discounts or free games for me then. I never owned WoM. edit: Thank you very much Alstein for comprehensive answer. Correct me if I'm wrong: I will have possibility to activate, continuously patch, and play FE on two PCs (edit: without active internet connection, except for patching, which can be done manually). (If Stardock keeps their old DRM policy.) It would be great, since I will be possibly buying a n
One small suggestion on the character display screen. Some sort of logical grouping for the traits would be very helpful. Right now it looks like there displayed to the side of the picture in a somewhat random order (I'm guessing its either the order they were acquired in or alphabetical). It would be great if they were organized in a more structured way. For instance, since magical skills are probably most importa
I'm sadly not as happy with SW:TOR. I found the game to be alright.. storyline for me.. when forced upon you rather than discovered is not something I am overly fond of. I don't enjoy movies much.. unless they're *really* good. SW:TOR has an OK story for the most part.. the story for the individual classes is good enough. BUT I found myself getting extremely bored of the "filler" planet quests.. the quests meant nothing at all an
Sanati, I think in this case preorder= prepurchase. I don't think there was any way to get the WoM beta without paying for the full game. But, I do agree that we should get the beta a week early. :)
Yes, Yes, and Yes.
Same as Tridus & HeavenFall, Impulse was my main digital download service, but I haven't bought anything there in months. I won't uninstall as I have some games there I want to still use, but Steam and others are my main service now.
Another vote for this feature.
It's looking great. It is a little disconcerting, that your storytelling style matches how I play games almost exactly. [e digicons]o_O[/e] I tend to like to have a running story going on in my head as I play. I really like the fact that we can play against heroes/factions we have previously created. Looking forward to trying it out soon.
