Wow,thanks for all the info!!! Ill scan the different sites tonite while Im watching the football game. When I first started playing I tried to be good but ended up chaotic good,now I find myself leaning towards being chaotic evil. Im just curious. Now that Im getting the hang of this game I thought Id try and go a step further. I dont have a very high score yet but I believe that Im getting more addicted to this game the more I play so Ill be adding to it. I really like the G.R.O.S.S. Empire's logo but there has to be more to it than that,lol. Do the different Empires have thier own websites with game tips and such? Thanks in advance for any info!!! arlblaster

I had the same problem with a new 2.6 ghz puter. I tried everything to get the game to install,updated everything,deleted some things what a nightmare!!! Then one day I put the CD in and got the usual "program not responding" message as the CD drive just droaned on. I went to the kitchen to get a drink and when I came back the install screen magicly appeared. I suggest that you just give it more time. After clicking install,just give it about 10 minutes and see if dont bring up the install scree

I actually tried that,I downloaded flash player 6.0. I am able to search the cd by opening it with "my computer". The game cd has this program on it,I suspect that there is some kind of compatability issue here but I dont know what. It really bugs me,lol. Thanks

Newbie question in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

Hey all,I just bought the game,it looks like fun!! My problem is that it wont install!!! My cd drive just hums and I get the "program not responding" message. I also get a message that says "flash player 5.0 r30 not responding". I have a new puter,P4 2.6 ghz, 256 memory. My cd drive is fine,I have installed many other programs without a problem. I took the game back to Best Buys to exchange it becouse I thought that the CD was defective and he put it in the store's puter and it loaded right up.
