This is no longer possible, as you also figured. You have to open the list. Some of this stuff is not real user friendly. Scribe Fuzzy Logic, you are so right. I posted a question which no one bothered to answer because it was so lame, and to which I have to admit I'm a tad embarrassed about now. I did figure it out. It was how to delete one specific object in DX. I opened the list and deleted it from there. But, having said that, the older beta DX was easier. You just right clicked on the object itself and got the menu for what to do. That's not possible anymore, and it threw me for a loop.
I have downloaded the Milk Calendar DX object onto my desktop, and now, for the life of me, I can't get rid of it. Unlike other DX objects, where I just right click and delete, this one does not bring up the DX menu. Only the desktop menu through it. I've tried unloading the DX program, but when I reload it, there's that calendar again. Granted, it's a very nice calendar, but I don't want it right now. Sheesh........ So, who had that head-banging smilie? I sure could use it now.
For anyone who may be interested, I finally figured out how to get rid of the start bar icon. So simple. Yrag, I never would have thought, in a million years, that Zone Alarm was the reason SD, WC, OD were all screwed up. But, I did as you suggested. Voila!!! Works like a charm. I'm now posting through Stardock Central, instead of my web browser. THANK YOU!!!!!
Why would downloading ZA earlier version make a difference to how SC and/or Wincustomize browser function? BTW, I did a system restore to one week ago. Restored beautifully, except the problem is NOT resolved.

Thanks for the reply, pinchecl. I think I've seen the wind direction in other programs (DirectX?), so it should be possible. I will make the suggestion. Funny though...... I"m a landscape architect by profession, and I do a lot of GIS work (computerized mapping), so reading maps and surveys is not a problem for me.
