stpetedom, is the user pic missing on all your skins or just some skin(s) in particular? If it is just a particular skin, then please post the name of the skin as it appears in the WB config window or provide a link to the skin. Then we can tell you for sure if the skinner disabled the user pic. <img src="http://images.stardoc

He Ain't Heavy, He's my Brother(for the life of me I can't remember who sings it) The most famous version is by the Hollies, but versions by Neil Diamond and Olivia Newton-John also made the top 40... It's been covered by quite a few others too, including Cher and The Osmond Bros... <A HREF="https://www.wincustomize.com/index.a

The text angle attribute is part of the Font Preset (left tree, under Miscellaneous>Presets>Font Presets). If this is a new skin you are making, you will need to set up a new font preset just for the user name text, otherwise any other text that uses that preset will not appear. You can do this by duplicating an existing preset and modifying the contents, or just add a new preset. Just right click on a font preset and click on which option you want. If you choose duplicate, the left tree will au

Well the point of my post was that once anyone of those methods was done, you would no longer have to drag anything anywhere you would only have to click to open it. I didn't realize you wanted something to magically appear on your desktop to solve your problems. Sorry.

OK, one mystery solved. The text settings for the Toolbar titles on the taskbar are found in the left tree under Taskbar>Taskbar Gripper>Horizontal. It was bugging me as some really great skins (eg MikeB314's StealthOS) with dark taskbars leave this attribute untouched so it winds up with black text and nearly unreadable if you use toolbars on the taskbar. I realize this doesn't help you much pict, but it does at least answer a question brought up in this thread. I'm still tryi

There are several ways I can think of to do this, assuming you are using Windows XP. You can create a shortcut on your desktop to any folder just by right clicking on the folder and then clicking on 'Send to...'>'Desktop (create shortcut)'. From there, you could use IconX to have this icon show as part of your DX theme, and you can even use some of the IconX effects to make it zoom or what have you. This is the simplest way I can think of doing it, and wouldn't require any great graphics skill.

The German word 'Werkzeug' translates to 'tool' in English. Tags like this are found quite commonly on tools made for industry, such as molds for injection molding or stamping dies for forming metal. The tags are usually attached to the tools because the tools are normally the property of the customer who is receiving the products made from the tool rather than the property of the factory who is using the tool to produce the part. Modern tags usually have a bit more information on them such as t

The link for KKMenu 2.80 is here: https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?library=29&SkinID=703 although I don't know why you are asking since you have left a comment there asking the same question, so have obviously been there before. Click the link that says [Download] and you will download a zip file which Contains kkmenu 2.8 as well as a tutorial for installing and using it with Object Dock. the file is even called KKMENU280.zip. By the way, I'll grant you that DWatson's comme

You can set Quicklaunch buttons to show the Title of the Toolbar/Folder and that is the setting for changing that font Hmmmm... I've been playing with this for a couple hours now, and these font settings don't seem to affect anything. If you have 'Show Title' enabled for the Quick Launch bar or any other toolbar for that matter, changing these f

To show the text labels for Quick Launch Buttons, first make sure the taskbar is unlocked. Then right click on the Quick Launch area of the taskbar, making sure that you are on the bar and not on a button. You may need to expand the bar to find a clear space. On the right click menu, near the top, click on Show Text. Most people don't use this feature because it makes the buttons huge. <A

Re: #4 - The system metric setting for the titlebar height affecting the Systray icons is not all that illogical if you think about it. The system metric setting for the Titlebar determines the size of the Titlebar system icon and WB assumes that system icons for Titlebar and SysTray should be the same size. As for the original topic, I believe the font setting you are looking for is under Controls>Menus>Pull Down Item in the left tree and Fonts>Font-Normal in the right tree. The defaul

Ok, the actual attribute in SkinStudio (right tree) is "Hide User Picture" and the values are "Disabled" (meaning the User Pic will show unless the User elects to override the setting in WB Config) and "Enabled" (meaning the USer Pic will not be visible no matter what the User elects in User Overrides of WB Config). If you, the skinner, enable "Hide User Picture", the only way to change it again is through SkinStudio or by editing the .uis file of the WB. As for the text settings, you'l

Brainy, check your transparency and translucency switches, too. Can't remember which switch it was, but I know the close button in your Texas skin had a switch enabled that should not have been. I think it was transparency, but not sure.

As for the content margins affecting the user pic, You're right, they will. I made the assumption that since you wanted to disable the user name, you would want to disable the user pic as well.

I know it's confusing and frustrating. A lot has changed with WB and SkinStudio in the past few months. While generally I think it's for the better, especially for new skinners, it does take quite a bit of work to catch up on the changes. The new SkinStudio is a lot tougher on error checking, and it's kind of a double whammy on older skins because there have been so many changes in WB. A lot of old code is no longer supported and there are a lot more images which SkinStudio now considers 'mandat
