Since when have you used US-friendly terms for anything ?

#12 by Admin Jafo - 5/19/2004 2:50:57 AM At a guess...I'd say the Aussie equivalent would be about US $3.50 a gallon....and as a reminder of our 'size' we have a single ranch in Oz larger than your biggest State [Texas].... <TD class="mb-Body-Quo
They look pretty good at 256x256, but you might want to create a new png from scratch at somewhere between 72x72 and 48x48 in order to preserve the detail. The reason I say this is that you have several paces on both icons where you have light/medium/dark bands very close to each other, like around the edge of the CD image, for example. Depending on which program you use, (Microangelo, Axialis IW, Stardock IconDeveloper, etc.) the algorithm they use to resize the image all work on some method of
#20 by Admin Jafo - 5/19/2004 3:52:23 AM Oh, EH....same difference either way... [Gosh aren't the Texans miffed they aren't the biggest?]... Alaska has 1,447,267.5 sq. km. in land area, which is more than twice the size of Texas, at a mere 678,358.1 sq. km., and about 19% of Australia's 7,692,024 sq. km. That would be quite a ranch. Who owns it?
Wow... those are gorgeous. Very crisp and clean. Hope they look anywhere near as good at smaller sizes. I've been disappointed several times at previews like this when the product finally comes out and my start menu looks terrible. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle" A
/me wonders if uglyoldfatguy would get the same response. [Message Edited]
If this is a common problem for you, there is a way to more or less fix it on every skin without editing any of the skins. In MS Paint, or any other graphics program, create a bmp that is 150 x 150 pixels. paint the whole thing white or a light gray, or whatever color you would like to have as a background. Save it as MyWBbkgd.bmp or whatever else you want to call it as long as it''s a .bmp file. Save it into your C:\Programs\StardockObject Desktop\Windowblinds folder (your path may be
ok, this is a test Well, this is rather strange. I got a double post when using the WC browser, but no double post with internet explorer. Of course, that doesn''t mean anything since it appears you weren''t using the browser, and yet you had a double post. Odd. :/ [Message Edited]
I know this doesn''t help you much, but I can confirm that I have the same problem with the Adobe PDF files for DesktopX with the latest build. I can''t tell you if anything changed with the documents, but my guess is that they must have changed for them to have been redownloaded. It just seems those files are corrupt. I have emailed Stardock Support, to make them aware of the problem, but I really don''t expect a response until after the weekend. I wish I could help more, but all I can do right

I really love AOL too... lol... thanks Gary, I got it all. I really appreciate it. Unfortunately, that didn't do the trick either, so I think it's time to head off to the hardware store. The drive is three years old, so it's probably time to replace it anyway. I'm just baffled as to why it would work for CD's and not DVD's. But I'm tired of messing with it, so I'm just gonna replace the drive.
Not to hijack the thread, but if you haven't tried PSP 8, Styl, you really ought to give it a chance. The 30-day free trial from JASC is a full working edition with only the time limits. I have been using Photoshop since version 3.0, but the really amazing improvements Jasc has made with PSP 8, I decided not to upgrade from Photoshop 7 to CS. PSP 8 is really that good in my opinion. And it is one hell of a lot less expensive. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/joke.gif" border=0
Actually, I believe he was referring to Jasc's Animation Shop, which is bundled with Paint Shop Pro retail editions, at least with PSP 7 & PSP 8, and it does quite a good job of creating avi's for WB. I'm pretty sure several of the skins on here that have custom .avi files have used this program to create them.
You can also set any skin to autoload any wallpaper. You can assign the option with skin studio[/quote You don't really need skin studio to do that. Put the bitmap for the wallpaper into the skin's theme folder. Open the [skinname] .uis file in a text editor like notepad. scroll down to the end of the [Personality] section. If the wallpaper is named "mywall.bmp", for example, then add this line at the end of the [Personality] section: Wallpaper=mywall.bmp Save th
Congratulations! Very nice.
But it's fan art!! Doesn't fan art counts anymore?? First of all, just because someone views something like this as fan art, doesn't mean that the copyright holder will see it that way. Many many people have been sued because they published "fan art" without the original artist/author's permission. Second, it is one thing for you as an
themidniteone1, go to the top of this page and click on "My Skins" If you see the wallpapers there, then they are still awaiting moderation. In that case, the moderation is probably a bit slow at the moment because of moderators being busy with the GUI Olympics. Please be patient. If they are no longer there, then they have been moderated and not accepted. WC does not send out emails to people when their wallpaper submissions are not accepted due to problems in the past with abusive email r
Thanks again Gary.
Yes please... but send it here: [email protected]
I'm in SW PA, Gary... people here think cable is what you use to winch coal cars.
I do not have broadband but the email addy is correct.
Going through WMP/Tools/Options/Devices>DVD player>properties everything looks fine. And yes, this is only a player, not a DVD writer. I''ll try restores and reinstalls next and get back to you tomorrow. Thanks much for your help, Gary. We''ll have to get together sometime. Drinks on me. [Message Edited]
Ultra DMA 2 for both.
Synergy is not a dick... as in Dick Tracy The concept of synergy, the output of the combined forces being greater than the sum of the inputs. is truly a wonderful thing. "synergy", referring to the nom de plume of a citizen expressing himself on these message boards, however, is another matter altogether. But I do agree, that he is not a dick...
ok... for this machine, there is only one hard drive with two partitions on the Primary IDE channel. There is a CD-RW writer as master with the DVD-ROM as slave on the Secondary IDE channel. The DirectX version is 9.0b (4.09.0000.0902) WinDVD is OEM version 3.1 DXVA.
