ok... first, the drive is the original factory drive and there were no installation discs. All the install/restoration files are on a separate partition on the hard drive which I can only access through a system restore program outside of WinXP. yrag...I don't have an nVidia motherboard. I recently had to do a complete system restore on my rig because of some worms let loose by my kids. Long story, but I completely wiped the harddrive, reformatted, and reinstalled WinXP Home along with all the original software, then updated everything through MS security update CD and MS Windows update. If you don't use skin studio, you could edit the .uis file in notepad, if it's a .uis2 skin. Just add the wallpaper file (e.g. mywall.bmp) to the skin folder, then open the .uis file in notepad. At the end of the [Personality] section, add a new line Wallpaper=mywall.bmp Save the file and reload the skin.

It's important to remember to not just delete the wallpaper from the skins theme folder, but to replace it as ChasUGC mentioned. If you just delete it without modifying the .uis file, you'll more than likely get an error from WB, and if I recall correctly, it will then be considered a broken skin by WB afterward.

I agree with IP, MikeB and kona. It shouldn't be merged. They've raised what I think are valid objections. In addition, I don't see an advantage to merging the two. You said that it will bring more focus to WinFX, but I submit it would divert focus from furthering either app in the short term as they focus on combining the two. Even if you were correct in the long term, where is the gain? It unnecessarily complicates skinning WB, which is already a fairly hefty undertaking. By the same

You''re welcome, and I hope it works too. By the way, those power settings I referred to will override your screensaver and turn the monitor off, put the computer in standby or hibernate status. how do i get to this on resume thingy? Right click on the desktop and choose Properties from the menu. This will bring up the Display Properties Dialogue. Click on the Screensaver tab. Check your Monitor Power settings. Right click your desktop and click properties to bring up the Display Properties Dialogue. On the Screensaver Tab at the bottom is where you'll find the Power button. Clicking on this will bring up the Power Settings Dialogue. Check to see the timeout settings for Turn Off Monitor, System Standby, and System Hibernate. Unless these are set to "Never" anyone of them could put your system to sleep even with a screensaver off. If they aren't set to never, then thi
