If you see "Object Desktop" you need to click on "games". Under "product" scroll down til you find the game you bought, then enter serial number, etc.
Oh yeah, that too...sorry about that. A cold, refreshing, golden liquid has impaired my tech support ability. ;p

That is a program the Stardock also produces, and to tell you the truth I don't know much about it. I just picked up the TGN.net account, so I may check it out. I believe it provides differnet skins for Windows.
You need to install Stardock Central, and it will prompt you for your serial and you can download from there. http://storage.stardock.com/files/stardockcentral20.exe Once you have that installed, click the 'Tools' at the top and select 'Register Products'. Then, choose Galactic Civilizations' and enter your serial. Once that is done you will be able to download it from the menu on the main screen.
What computer, OS, and devices do you have? I'd really like to help, galciv is a lot of fun.
I've never tried to do that myself. I just reinstall as needed.
Hey, I know Raven is aware of this, but drop into the empire threads if you have any gameplay questions or questions about the Meta. There are many players out there with some great info for you. :) [Message Edited]
As long as you have the serial, you can keep downloading it. also, you can burn the downloaded files to cd.
I've never had a problem with seti when uplaiduing games.
I generally do Soil Enhancement, Habitat Improvement, Entertainment Network, Banking Center, Embassy, Fusion Power Plant, Manufacturing Center, Research Lab, Multimedia Center, Stock Market, Stadium, Anti-matter Power Plant, Cultural Exchange Center, Economic Exchange, Harmony Generator, Trade Center, and Terraforming. I add things to the build queue as they become available, and generally I stick to that order. I may have missed one though. Hope that helps. :) For Honor a
Hmmm...that's very odd. I would try to download Stardock Central, and then enter your CD key in to it then download the latest version, then install. It may take a while but I'm confident it would work. http://storage.stardock.com/files/stardockcentral20.exe
I love the expansion. The extra AI really adds to the game. If you are having trouble drop by the strategy forum. There are lots of hints there. Also, drop in any of the Empire threads in the Eprire forum. Everyone here is more thatn willing to provide some pointers. :)
I'd be interested how the 'tech victory' percentage gets calculated on the menu screen - when I was already on the very last branch of research it still showed It may be that bug that appeard in 1.20 that didn't actually show the total techs you had, only the ones you had researched since the last load. I can't remember if that has been patched or not.
You're welcome. :) [Message Edited]
I really like the Cultural and Religious Capitals, The Sneaky Diplomats, Halut Pack, Omega Pack, Research Inc, and Moser the Alchemist's Anomaly Pack. Oh, and the Saint Pack from Matthew Downie. :)
Thanks!! :CONGRAT:
Yeah, I'd really like to get that. :)
Sounds like the disappearing ship problem that was fixed in an update.
You can play any of them by going to the "Movies" folder within the Gal Civ folder.
Using what player? I'd like to see it again.
I see them, but I rarely see them move. Hey Spartan, drop in at our Empire thread and say hi! Just skip to the end of it, you don't need to read the whole thing. (Unless you want to. ;) )
Many times I'll colonize a planet that is below PQ 8 just get get that influence bonus. Makes it easy to culture flip and AI plaent, then I'll abandon the colony. Hey Omni11! Drop in over at the Raven's Claw (Galactic Guardian empire thread) and chat with us. We'd love to hear from you. Also, go register @ http://www.diplomats-empire.com/forum/index.php and we'll get you setup for our Private forum. :)
If I had the skills to do something I'd be willing to help. I love Stargate. :CONGRAT: I'm excited to see how this works out.
The Galactic Guardian now have a private forum at the Diplomats Empire Forum.
Also dont just show the Star, show the tiny planets orbiting the stars, and be able to zoom in closer for a better look at the planets...
I think that this is what Brad meant by the planets being natively part of the sector. I really like that idea.
In the late game, it is a good idea to grab the PQ14s to expand you influence some. Also, you get more research from the extra population. In my playing style I will grab the PQ12-13 to get cultural influence over the AI, but only after I have developed resourse bases, trade goods, and wonders the improve influence. You will lose money on the planets until the reach PQ15. On a side note, drop by your empire thread, they'd love to hear from you. http://www.galciv.com/forum.asp?BID=GE&id=
It sounds like you need to update you game first. The latest versions don't allow minors to build trade goods. As for early ones, you sometimes need to spend at deficit to get them. I always grab the Diplomatic Translators, and I have to almost go into the red to do it. So yes, there is the going into a hole to do it, but it is worth it.
