So I suggest you to change the name to "GC-2 TA for dummies". Less offensive and quite well known phrase.
Consider it done :) A very good point and not very well thought out on my part. Hopefully the name did not cause any offense to anyone. :(
As for the complexity of the site, i guess to start with i am looking to cover the game in the basic format. The majority of players looking for help after they realize they have no idea what they are doing are going to be looking for basic assistance, not in depth game mechanics. That would come later once they understood the basics of the game. However please keep the ideas coming. I hope to have the initial page up and running by the weekend. The Page will contain a shout box for visitor
What i am looking for is someone to do a walkthrough for the game (TA) using the out-of-the-box settings. In it i would need a turn by turn write up of what you did and why and screenshots to back up the write up. If anyone is interested please email me [link="mailto:"]Drengin[/link] Full credit will be given on the final site for your work!
HI all :) I am putting together a new basic dummies guide to TA. As I am taking screen shots and making notes from the launch screen onwards; I started considering that it would be good to get ideas from the good people on these here forums on what they would like to see included in the dummies guide. Therefore, is there anything you feel should be included? Is there anything you are not
PS not being pushy, i just want to know whether to start a new game or wait for the nextr update :D
Q. Is there to be an update this week or are all the devs still working on the Sins game? Thanks :d
Hi all :D How you all keeping? RL has been ridiculously busy for the last few months and has not given me much time at all to play this fine game. However i have been 'playing around' with TA and look forward to the time we can start playing MV games on it. As for the 'person' who has been editing the game files to get a large score, well i hope it gave him great satisfaction to have to resort to that strategy to gain points. To me that is removing the base idea behind
Desktop for me. I found my Laptop was just not up to the task of running the game to any great success. Got too much of a lag on anything above tiny galaxies so i just use my desktop as it is more than up to the task.
I purchased it when it first came out as a beta. I was not a great fan of it at that stage and as of yet have not gone back to it. Not sure if i ever will to be honest unless the final version comes out with a good tutorial system as i found the game left the player floundering around wondering what to do next. Thin i will stick to GCII for the foreseeable future :)
Thought i had better get one in this year :D
Aha so you have turned sneaky on us! LOL Watch out guys he is still watching you ;p
Not sure on the release schedule as the forums seem to have been quiet on the Dev front this week. Even Kryo doesn't appear to have been here as often as he normally does!
I'm also not seeing this latest Beta 4 on my games list. Even after refreshing the latest XML data in the latest Stardock 2.50.511 build 163, I still see the old 0.93[b].001 as per the 20/12/07 update. Reinstalled everything again and still no Altarians/Thalans Anyone have any ideas?
As
Very nice :D
Or simply delete the file and then start the game. You can then just set it up as you had it.
If you have DA you need only press CTRL+Prt Scrn and a screenshot is placed in your my docs/my games/DA/screenshots folder
I would maybe suspect something along those lines once the new expansion has been released out of beta stage. Have patience young padawan :D
try this web page http://support.microsoft.com/kb/833721 it might help, not sure if it helps 64bit OS's Should allow 32bit apps to use 3GB of virtual memory instead of 2GB. TotA is more efficient and if you want to play gigantic/immense galaxies then upgrade to it.
I have tried it and it actually increased the speed of the entire operating system system even though i have 2gb of memory installed! Great find and i am loving the results. Many tha
I do love the major events that can pop up in the games. However i too would prefer it if the AI was more able to use them to their advantage as the human player is. I know it is not an easy thing to ask and to be honest it does not stop the game being great as i do love the jagged knife one the most. Got to love it when half your planets 'splinter off' and create a new civilization. However they then only act as a minor which defeats the whole mega event :(
Indeed this looks to be a nice mod :D
March or April it matters not to me as i would rather have a much more polished AI than to rush it out with balancing issues that spoil the total game. I am still in awe about how much time and resources you have put into this expansion and have loved playing it from the first beta onward. So take as much time as you need Frogboy, we look forward to the final product :D Happy new year to you and your family :CONGRAT:
I like it now. At least with the new way it works you get to see some benefit from your point selection. Plus i do not think it is undervalued as in my current game it has triggered a few times but not that often, it does appear to trigger randomly as well. I look at it as a nice change that can work nicely for you but not something you should rely on to finish a tech for you earlier than planned. Well worth the one point as it is a random trigger. Grats to the Dev's for finally getting Cre
The best way to learn is to d/l one of the packs and then to take apart the ships piece by piece. That will give you an insight as to how they are made :)
Sounds like you have not set up the receiving bar and have it set so that its at its max response. Try going into the Wii's set up and adjusting the bar a bit. I have had a Wii since they first came out and after setting up the response i have never had an issue with it. BTW Mario and Sonic Olympics is a fantastic game to play with friends :D
