Ok ihave found a fix for the overlays and will be re-doing that section over the next few days. Sorry for the delay folks. First one is now in place! :D

Request for fansites list to be updated! in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

Could whomever looks after the fansite links at Stardock ([email protected]) please find a few minutes to update it. There are quite a few dead links on there and as it is a place visited by new players of the game could do with being kept up to date. On a side note i have sent to the above email address a request for the dummies guide to be included in the links but have heard nothing back from the email. Please keep this collection of off-site links up to date for all players

If nothing else works you can edit the file 'prefs.ini' directly with a text editor. In there you will find the line that points to your mods folder. No update today as i ran into a problem with the text overlays for all the options sections. Looking to redo them over the next few days as all overlays need redoing. New version will split the options pages and make the loading time smaller and have the text for the options beside it as against the current mouseover (this was not displaying all the text in certain browsers). The other option was to hyperlink every option and have it open a new window with the text on it. This would have been a

Welcome Helix :) Make sure you research any morale increasing techs and have at least one morale building on each planet (works for me anyhow). Also dont forget that a high tax rate does decrease your morale.
