Short answer is That's the convention that needs to be followed to be blessed by MicroSoft. That's because it provides the ability to have multiple users on a single computer and allow them all to read/create/change some data files (the "Public" dir), while providing some protection opportunity for the program files (the "Program" dir), and while maintaining some user-specific settings (like what skin each is using) (the "Users" dirs) with some privacy and protection b
It looks great but the "gauge" for CPU and MEM usage is missing. I think he's referring to the 25% ($5) discount that Object Desktop subscribers get when buying Plus 1.9. It shows on the Plus site page towards the bottom.

Is the dock itself fully transparent or did you make it transparent using the OD config transparency setting? If you used the OD config setting, try setting that transparency all the way back to "Opaque" on the right side of the slider to see if that fixes it.
Was Acrylic lost in the "Great Hard Drive Crashes of 200x"? edit- nevermind - I went to the DA site and read the history.
The "Fire" WB that went up today installs into the same directory as the WB Subscriber theme from a few months ago of the same name. I've got the original tucked away so not a problem for me, I just wasn't sure who's watching the store right now and I'd imagine you wouldn't want to leave it up there all weekend like that. Thanks.
With the gadget I see the image that was up at close (landscape or abstract) pop up for about a quarter of a second when it starts up, then it immediately flips back to the original flower. In case it has anything to do with it, immediately after I close the gadget I consistently get the "Unknown Publisher / Are you sure you want to run this software" dialog that XP puts out when starting an exe, the
I'm on DTXStandard so I can't export to gadgets (I guess I can say that lockout is working). I exported it as a widget and it does retain the last image setting but I know that's not what you were asking. It would have to already be a gadget before I can check that.
I'll check it on XP if you point me to a gadget on WC that I can try it with. (Or is it just on something you create at this point?)
I see that the wbo files can be renamed to a txt file, opened up and they look like any other ini files. So the good news is the settings remain there in an easily accessible format. I was hoping to have some brilliant idea of how to get them applied within WB7 but like the dog that caught the car, I have no idea what to do with it. Maybe helpful, maybe not.

Thanks Doc - I thought I'd accidently annoyed you. I knew I was kind of butting in but I felt it was worth mentioning.
Doc I was just trying to provide OP a possible simple fix to try.
You know as I think about this it might be worth a shot to try just applying the default Windows skin and reboot once to see if it clears out the problem. After that you'd have to manually launch Windowblinds once to load a skin, it shouldn't autostart the first time but it should after you've loaded it back up. But ya if you can get a newer version that would be good.
I am not totally clueless but are you saying that if I use Add/Remove programs and uninstall WindowBlinds that XP will automatically (and presumably) revert to the default skins? Would uninstalling WindowBlinds and reinstalling it do any good?
I'm not seeing that Dr suggested you uninstall Windowblinds. But, if you do decide to uninstall Windowblinds at any point even temporarily, before you uninstall WindowBlinds go into WindowBlinds Configuration and
That's good - sometimes I wonder if I'm having one huge "Senior Moment".[e digicons][/e]
I really don't believe you needed to buy Windowblinds or Icon Packager. I believe if you downloaded and installed MyColors from here: https://www.stardock.com/products/mycolors/downloads.asp and purchased the Dragon theme from here: https://www.stardock.com/products/mycolors/gallery.asp?p=dragon&c=
If you just downloaded the demo versions of those they're going to stop working in about a month.
I thought you didn't need that to run themes. And that mycolors took care of all of that.
That is my understanding as well, at least in terms of seperately puchasing Windowblinds. If you have Impulse installed, open it up and right click on the MyColors icon, and select "Verify installation". It should then tell you whether if it is installed correctly or if you need to update/reinstall it.
LaraVan it looks like you might be able to get it from HP. I did a search of their support site for "MyColors" and found some MyColors downloads with Win7 listed, maybe just the program though. I'm not linking any here because I don't want to point you to the wrong place. Anyway it looks like if you poke around on their site or shoot them a request they might be able to fix you up? http://welcome.hp.c
