You're welcome. I've found the technique to be very useful.

When you choose the Windows Default Theme you're unloading WindowBlinds. You would then change any colors available within the Win10 Personalize page.
You do need to have this box checked in the Curtains edit section for the titlebars to be transparent:

In the interest of trying to make things work, and since you guys are inclined to play with it and I can't, has anybody tried checking the option in the WB Config / Settings main page "Do not use per pixel frames even if the style supplies them" (third one down)? It may or may not help, don't know, but it's something I'd give a shot.

Thanks Basj, a reality check is always good. This will probably confuse the issue, but when I uninstalled Start11 before doing this most recent Start11 update, I went ahead and installed Start10 again to check it. WinFX did animate Start10. Uninstalled Start10, installed the most recent Start11, and it was back to ignoring it. You might check if you see that as well. Thanks, at least now I can stop pondering assorted settings.[e digicons]:)[/e]
Can somebody just look to see if they can animate the Start Menu through WinFX while using Start11 on Win10 please, preferably while using Curtains or WB? I'd like to know if it's working at all.
Thanks, yes, but this is a different beast. I can't get it to animate via WinFX, period. Is it working for you?

I'm not having any luck getting WinFX to animate the Start Menu with Start11. Short story is Win10, current Start11, current WB, current Curtains. Maybe I'm missing a setting, played around with it quite a bit. Thought I would ask so I can quit wondering. Thanks.
Good luck, the odds do seem to be in your favor right now. I hope it quickly becomes done-and-gone.

Glad that took care of it. I realize I said "Start10" - you can use either Start10 or Start11 on Win10, either will work, in case you also have access to Start11 and would prefer to use the newer program.
I'm not at all sure sync is the problem, but if you want to have a look at it this should do it: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/about-windows-backup-and-sync-settings-deebcba2-5bc0-4e63-279a-329926955708#WindowsVersion=Windows_10 I'm not familiar with it, but if you don't want to turn it all off it looks li
One other thing occurs to me - If you're loading the image from an external drive, that might screw it up. Try copying it to an internal drive and loading it from there.
Is it possible you have it sync'd with another device in Win10 settings? I don't know exactly how that's done or undone, but I've seen it create that kind of confusion here.
[quote who="Daiwa" reply="44" id="3832183"] As an aside, he also tells us that third party software vendors are in some cases taking advantage of this 'progress' by refusing to provide backward compatible Win 11 drivers for a variety of applications, rendering software that is fully functional in Win 10 useless in Win 11 (without expensive upgrades, of course). You do need to have Start10 installed and running, and I believe you need to have the "Windows 7 style" selected within Start10's main page. I don't have Start10 installed any longer, but I seem to remember another setting lower on that same main page that referred to "Use WindowBlinds skin", I'm thinking that was for either the Start Button or the Taskbar, you might look for that.

Well this all did make me curious. There's more about it here, and it does essentially support what's been said in this thread regarding S mode, with a little more detail: https://www.techrepublic.com/article/windows-10-s-mode-pros-and-cons/ Hope I remember all this in a few years when I'll want to. Thanks guys.
