Please post here if you still have trouble downloading it through either Impulse or MyColors.
Ya I just now tried to update it through Impulse and got the error: "Error retrieving data". The MyColors app showed the update available and I updated through there, then Impulse recognized that it had been updated.

Applying the same skin twice in a row clears up some transparency issues for me, might see what that does. Completely different graphics card and Windows though.
There's a full green substyle as well.
Glad you mentioned that, I hadn't caught it. And transparency variations as well. You really packed it in there, thanks! :HOT:

Have you started up a ticket with Stardock support? https://esupport.stardock.com/index.php?_m=tickets&_a=submit I have several MyColors loaded but not the Alien GUI.

As far as I know it has to be done one at a time. If you've got a bunch of wba files in a folder, you should be able to just double click on one to install it, wait for the "installed theme" message to pop up on the systray icon, then double click on the next one. That's easier and faster than opening up the Windowblinds configuration window and using the "install new" route through there, just because you don't have to do the navigating, in case that's what you're
Ya I wasn't kidding when I said I'd appreciate whomever decides to keep making XP skins. I'd imagine it is a fair amount of trouble. I'm still surprised and happy about how many blinds come across as both XP and Vista. Someday that'll stop and that's ok, life in the slow lane. If I blow less on o/s's, I feel better about popping for the occasional master skin and such. Which reminds me there's a cool little WinStep theme I still need to pull the trigg
Dump Vista...sooner rather than later....it is totally redundant now there is a Win 7.
I'll agree with that. Kept myself from throwing away a couple hundred dollars there I suppose.
a TON of people on XP for any number of reasons, finances\economy, preference, older PC's etc.
I'd be one of those, including the "etc". Maybe I'll get lucky and keep myself from throwing away a couple hundred dollars this time too?
I'm gonna drive this XP crate 'till it drops, maybe longer. I'll appreciate any XP skinning that continues, can't imagine that I'm the only one, but ya the world does move forward.
Nice skin, easy on the eyes, Thanks!

I guess someone really ought to say that states have provided tax breaks to companies to start up offices for decades. I don't really know how long, I'm inclined to say "forever" but that simply can't be true. Anyway it has nothing to do with the current president, welfare, government control, the current state of the economy, or any imagined conspiracy. And it's certainly nothing new. It's about getting business into a state to generate jobs, business, and yes, taxes.
Have you noticed the setting "Automatically activate mouseovered tab when using autohidden tabbed docs"? It's in the configuration window, "General" on the left side, "Miscellaneous Option" button, "General Miscellaneous Options" section. Not exactly what you're looking for but pretty much eliminates your issue - whatever tab you mouseover to unhide the dock becomes the active tab.
So how are you doing up there, ladyj55?
Glad that worked for you. I was hoping the updates would take care of it though, I fear a lot of MyColors users won't be able to do the manual extraction. Maybe the updated version will extract properly if it is a fresh install after a fresh boot, sometimes that makes all the difference in the world.
See Reply #5 here: https://forums.wincustomize.com/365687 If that isn't it or you need more help with the details come on back.
What an ignorant attitude to have.
My attitude is not ignorant, it would just appear to be the polar opposite of yours. Good luck with your approach.
Got Mine to work, but for some reason there is no clock and weather...........only empty folders
Same thing happened to me. I copied the Music.MyColors file over to a new file, renamed the new file to Music.zip, opened that file up with WinZip, and extracted the files manually to the appropriate folders. Worked like a charm. Nice theme by the way. :)
lowenstein are you running on XP in Limited User logon mode?
raff56 the same thing happened to me. I copied the Music.MyColors file over to a new file, renamed it to Music.zip, opened it up with WinZip, and extracted them manually to the appropriate directories.
Sometimes when they release these you just have to wait a bit and try again. Don't know why, maybe just good old fashioned server overload.
You can either spend your life enjoying what you have or worrying about what you don't. Seriously. It's a cool little piece of software, but that's all it is, and it does what it does and doesn't do what it doesn't do, just like everything else. There's just no point in staring at the warts.
If you have Impulse installed it should show on there. Also should see it on WinCustomize / Settings link (in upper right) / Registrations tab (towards top on right side) / listed in "MyColors".
Nice blind. I thought the preview looked pretty good, it looks even better loaded up! [e digicons][/e]
