Same here, all showed as encrypted fuzz. After trying to apply a few times, Diamond WB wouldn't load at all. XPHomeSP3, Impulse tells me I'm current on WB. Restored backed up 1 prior version of Diamond and it's still fine.

If you are trying to load the theme through MyColors while you are logged in as a limited user, try loading it while you are logged in as an Administrative user, it should work. You can work around the issue you're having under a limited user and it's not that difficult, but let me know if this is indeed the problem before I go into that.
Try loading the theme while you are logged in as a user with Administrative rights (like the user you use to install programs) and see if that works (at least while you're logged in with that user). I think we're talking about a MyColors theme. Are you running Windows XP or Windows Vista?
I am getting fed up by the mockery of the US patent system and it's international implications (UK here),
Me too (US here). "Mockery" seems to be such a appropriate word.
Erk- I appreciate your clearing that up, it smelled like a rat to me. I was wondering just exactly what all he "filled out" on the page, both from his perspective and from Stardock's. I will sleep better tonight, thanks.
More importantly - Was it an email ("rebate" makes me wonder about fraud)?
Absolutely. Yes. No problem. Do not hesitate because of that concern. I'm not trying to be funny, I'm trying to be clear. I wondered about that myself and I've had them both installed for months. Enjoy!
Cavan- You do know that all that manual shuffling [e digicons]:puke:[/e] isn't necessary, right?- All you have to do is apply the theme once through MyColors to get it extracted, then you can just apply the WB via WB if you want to. I'm thinking you were just making a point, but I have visions of a stray reader thinking that's what they have to do to apply through WB...
And on the pratical side (i.e., money) with MyColors the MyColors application is free, with a few free themes, and you pay for the other themes. With WB and Object Desktop, you pay for the applications and can get a lot of free skins (don't know for sure how much you can get free without buying a subscription to this site) and also buy some other premium skins and suites if you like. Me, I'm a pig, I use both.[e digicons]|-)[/e]
Looks pretty cool, particularly the NeXuS and the WorkShelf. :HOT:
Hey the last Impulse update of Diamond, the one with the serial number, fixed this for me. I did delete the WB theme via WB and the .mycolors file before I installed the new one, in case it matters. Thanks for tweaking it, Stardock.[e digicons][/e]
Ya as long as MyColors is installed and the theme has been extracted jpmurph's method works fine, it's not a fluke.
If you install and manage them through MyColors and/or Impulse you'll get notified if there's an update for a theme though. Doesn't happen very often, but it's something to consider.
Hey Seabass No the "Run As" trick doesn't work for me on XP with this - "Run As" admin while in the ltd user changes the theme for the admin user but the ltd user still doesn't get the sounds, even during the current session or even if I leave the Soundpackager config window up. I did a short ticket on it, KPZ-958413 if you want to look at it, but it won't tell you much. I haven't found a workaround. I'm not going to hog their thread, I wanted to put the idea
Thanks Island Dog, appreciate the clarification.
I haven't found a way to get SoundPackager to run on XP under a Limited User. I'm ignorant on Vista, but reading posts it seems like the XP Ltd user issues and the Vista UAC type issues kind of follow each other around, maybe on Vista you could fix it's problem with one of the generic "Disable UAC" or "Run Elevated" tricks?
Thanks BX. Reality = it's not there anymore. That's what I was wondering, making sure my subxcription settings weren't having a fart. We're good then, thanks folks.
There we go. Thanks messiah.
Hey Seabass Thanks, might do that. I was kind of hoping a couple of people might check their lists and say "It's gone for me too" or "I'm still showing it". The old reality check.
I had it out there for awhile, now it's gone, just wondering if it should even be listed now before I bug support about maybe a linkage issue or whatever. Thanks.
Good thing about the "yes" or "no" poll approach was it made me get off the fence. I probably would've said 2 or 3 out of 5 overall rating if it were presented that way. I ended up going to the subscriber skin list and thinking "Well, I really don't ever load any of these, so I guess it's a No." Apologies to the folks that made them, they're nice enough skins, but there it is. Wouldn't be surprised if a lot of folks love at least a few of them. Love/Like/Use several of the other free prem
Nope, magnification doesn't have to be turned on, just checked. Guess I could've done that first, eh?[e digicons][/e]
Click on "General" at left of main config screen. Click on "Miscellaneous Options" button. At bottom of new window is "Advanced Options for Magnifying Docks" "Attention" Effect Select Bounce. Only standard docks can use bounce, tabbed docks won't. Don't think you actually have to have magnification turned on, but maybe. As far as I know, there is no additional option such as "until gets focus" or such, or to adjust timing of bounce, it just bounce
Well no it shouldn't do that. Generic suggestion: If you're running ODPlus (which is the purchased version) and you had OD (the free version) installed prior to ODPlus, the free version needs to be uninstalled before installing ODPlus. So if you didn't do that, backup/copy any themes you've made and icons that you've added that you want to keep, uninstall ODPlus, uninstall the free OD, reboot, re-install the ODPlus. I'm Vista-ignorant, but somehow or the other
Might depend on whether the XPPro is 32bit or 64bit, not sure. I believe it behaves the same on 32bit as it does on XPHome. On XPHome you have to be logged on as an administrative user, or start ObjectDock using the right-click "run as" option and use an admin user name and password while logged in as a limited user. While using the "run as" option the ltd user is actually using the admin's ObjectDock themes and can overwite one of the admin's themes if saved wit
