I'd like the WB icon to remain in the systray as well - I did find though that a shortcut to wbconfig.exe in my favorite shortcut places works pretty well too (there's a hint buried in there somewhere :) ). A bigger annoyance to me is MyColors unloading DesktopX, plus DTX coming back up without my desktop loaded after re-launching it. I guess the answer to "why does IE7 execute it?" would be that the .wba extension is registered with Windows as a file to be executed using WB. Therefore when IE7 encounters the filetype it downloads it to the temp file and executes it using WB. Also, on IE7, frequently the first time it encounters an extension the first time the "Save or Open" window will have a little box at the bottom of it saying something like "always use this option", and once you check that, bye-bye, you never see that

I don't see a revolt as a solution either. To me it's more a matter of constant committed pressure to maintain the separation of powers. This isn't a new idea, it's kind of what the whole structure was based upon. I suppose I think that the "other" powers which haven't been successfully addressed are "Wealth" and "Religion". Right-click on the big red "Download" button. In the mouse popup menu that comes up, select "Save target as". In the window that pops up, select your location and click on the "Save" button. The file will save where you tell it to, it will not install until you go to that location and double click on the file. The file remains after you double-click on it, you can move it or delete it as you choose. That's how I do it, works like a charm.

You should be able to create and save a dock while running as a limited user, as long as it's not a Systray dock - Systray docks won't load under limited, you'll just get the empty background. Try just loading the default dock and just adding a shortcut, maybe changing the background, and saving it with some new theme name. The new theme name should appear in C:\Documents and Settings\[user]\MyDocuments\ObjectDock Library\Backed Up Themes\[ThemeName].ini You should then be able load i

I don't know who exactly put that together, but it's a nice one! Kind of simple, nice shades, clean looking. I even like the wallpaper which kind of surprises me - it's a lot brighter than I usually care for but somehow it works great! Unless someone has a better idea - I'm wondering if you re-booted after applying the Vista Default theme and before uninstalling MyColors. If not, you might try re-installing MyColors (letting it update itself to a more current version if it wants to). I'd reboot at that point, before applying any themes. Then I'd apply Sins Theme. Then I'd re-boot. Then I'd apply the Vista Default theme, then I'd re-boot and check the icons you're having trouble with. If you're good at that point

Don't know really, don't have either installed, but maybe it's one of those deals where the the software (iTunes & OpenOffice) has a launcher which the starting shortcut points to, then once the launcher executes it's no longer running - the launched appication is? If you look at what the shortcut is pointing to, then check task manager after iTunes is loaded, and compare the two, it might answer that. Just a thought don't have anything off the top of my head to check it with.
