Win10 v1909 b18363.997 See if this happens on a current version of Excel. Mine is ancient (Excel 2003) and I couldn't possibly expect it to be addressed. It's a little obscure, and if it happens on more current versions it could be more relevant, or perhaps provide insight to some "Groupy causes high CPU usage" problem. You can have both WindowBlinds and Curtains installed at the same time, but as you might guess you can only have one theme from either of them applied at one time. I did read in another post that there was some small advantage to having WB installed (with its process running i.e. in Task Manager) even if you're using Curtains, so I'd leave WB installed if you already have it even if you lean more towards Curtains. Honestly no I don't use them. I've been sitting here pondering the idea off and on though, and the one thing I can come up with that might fit into the scheme is a shallow ocean floor. Could use different lighting effects for the different times of day, and have different critters poking around.

I'll give it a whirl. WindowBlinds: Skins more. A new skin starts with the Diamond skin. A skin will have a few hundred image files, most/all of which need to have proper settings (margins etc) for them. Defines system colors, which adds variety but can also interfere with programs that mismatch them. Most technical adjustments need to be made through Skin Studio. Most image changes need to be done through SkinStudio. Curtains: Doesn't skin as much, use

By the way, I saw in another thread that you're undecided about enabling the use of system color settings in Curtains. If you do decide to do that, I'd ask that you perhaps include a global option to enable/disable their use - I've grown quite fond of the the Win10 dark arrangement, and the freedom from the complications that system colors can create. Win10 v1909 b18363.959 Quirk- If you have image files set to open with Photos so that you can double-click them to preview in Photos, the initial image will not show its filename. Scrolling through the images (left/right arrows) will only refresh/update the filename after changing the window state by clicking elsewhere, or by mousing over the window buttons. Great. For what it's worth it doesn't seem to need to be that big for a transparent background, I've used 10x40. It could probably be smaller, and if you've used 78x78 I guess it doesn't even need to follow the 1x4 rule for a transparent or solid color. Seems pretty flexible.

I'm not sure this will work since you've used the "tiny glyph" approach, but try Reply 4 here: https://forums.wincustomize.com/500800/page/1/#3783688 If that doesn't do it, you'll need to go into the advanced tab and specify the image for the "...BackgroundBlock"s similarly what you can see in the theme you're using as a map.
