It does seem like WindowBlinds is the core of it all, at least it is for me. I really hope I don't have to look at the default Win10 interface for the rest of my life, that's a pretty depressing thought.

Windowblinds - Thanks for asking for input. I'd like to see more complete control of "Blur" within WBConfig, regardless of whether or not the skin was built with it, and regardless of whether or not Acrylic Blur is enabled in Start10. Something like this in the Modify/Transparency section for each section, similar to where each of the "Force blur effect" options are now: Use normal blur Use acrylic blur Do not use blur

I can simply sit here and watch it as I described above. Also, I can add a program to the Startup folder and watch how long it takes to load after the desktop is "loaded". I would imagine anyone else could do the same.

There's also the possibility you just happened to get a lemon new hard drive. I imagine you don't have a dozen machines hanging around, but if you've got anything else to could plug the into to see if the drive itself works, that might be good.
You might try pulling the Ram banks (2 of them I'm guessing) out one at a time to see if it works with one and not the other. (You might need to have a specific slot filled when using only one.)
Always have to wonder about the basic "Is it getting hot on you?" Is air moving through there, do you have any utility to check temperatures?
Related "P.S."- The explorer status bar is now using System Color/[Buttonface/Dialog Background] for the color and for text color it's using Controls/Statusbars/Statusbars/Subsections [Text]tab / Sunk state.
