Well I had to go back to see when you start this, Nov 25, so I guess you've got me beat. Any time I've toyed with the idea of leaving WB off a machine I'm pretty sure I've crumbled in a week or less. Oddly the thing that bugs me the most about the default Win10 is the window caption image. It's just so ... whatever it is.

The skin's description and/or screenshot often mentions which Windows versions have been targeted. Many of the Win7 skins can be used on 8 or 10 with maybe a few hiccups, no guarantees though. I should also mention that for Win8 you would want Start8, not Start10. Start8 is Win8 only, Start10 is Win10 only.
They stopped updating WB8 when WB10 came out. (I do understand your logic though, kind of sounds like something I might do.) Hard to tell what the updates to Win8 have done since then. Don't know if someone who has had WB8 installed all this time on Win8 can still run it, maybe, installing it at this point could be different than carrying it along on Win8 updates. Groupy v0.85 On/Off button unexpected behavior (Win10Home v16299.rs3_release.170928-1534 64bit) On a standard user, when I turn Groupy "On" after having it "Off", it seems to read the Settings configurations from the Admin User (or maybe the installing user?) instead of from the currently logged-in user. Start10 is for Windows10 only. Used with WindowBlinds, it enables the WindowBlinds skin to be applied to the Start Menu. Without Start10 the Start Menu (and maybe the Start Button?) isn't skinned by WindowBlinds, it remains the normal Windows10. (Working from faded memory here.) I think OD has a "troubleshooting" section in its configuration screens. One of the options was something like "temporarily disable docklets". If you have any docklets in there, try that, they're a good place to start, and see if the problem goes away. Then you'll know if you have a troublesome docklet that you can fish out. You can of course try the other troubleshooting options as well.
