One thing that I don't think I've seen mentioned regarding SpaceMonger is its advanced search capabilities. For example, go to a WindowBlinds skin directory and search for "~" in Windows Explorer. You'll get (I think) every file in the directory. Now go back up a level, right-click on the Windowblinds directory for that same skin, and open it in SpaceMonger. Then search for "~" within SpaceMonger. You'll get every file with a "~" in it, and only those files.

On Win10 (without "Old New Explorer") it's Controls/Toolbars/Normal Toolbars/Button [Text]tab. That'll probably get used somewhere else, so if you've flipped light/dark it'll probably cause a problem.

Here's the way my ancient Excel 2003 works, maybe it'll help. When I first launch Excel, either by shortcut or by opening an associated document, it does not pick up the skin that I'm using. Re-applying the same skin does not help. It will at some point pick it up, I'm not exactly sure when, other than at least after the machine sleeps and wakes up, but I think it will pick it up before then. Generally speaking, the color adjustments work as a hue-shift, there needs to be some color to shift. Precision has some blue in it, but not a lot.&n

For each skin, go into WindowBlinds, click on the "Modify style" text, click on the color tile that says "None", then click the "Apply style to desktop" button. Might clear up the text color.

I may be misunderstanding something here. Deskscapes isn't a screensaver - it doesn't turn on after a period of inactivity and then turn off when activity begins. It's either "on", "paused", or "off". You can pause it when it's on by right-clicking the desktop and selecting "Pause Deskscapes". Hopefully that helps, but again, I may be missing something.

You might try changing the "OS Caption Height" from 24 to 23. I have a program with buttons in the titlebar and that fixes it. Edit Titlebars and WindowFrames / Edit UIS2 Frames / Borders / [Extra settings]tab / 6th item down. If 23 doesn't do it, try 22 or 25.
