The pricing was determined by the increase in number of features offered. Dev time costs. Either that's conveyed in yearly subscriptions like Adobe does it, or via lifetime licenses. You have mail.
Are you sure about that? Fences 5 is by no means new feature heavy like start 11v2 was.
Chameleon should have been sold as its own "Product". Bundling it and jacking up the price of Fences by justifying the new features tells us you don't understand the difference between pretty and practical. Fence users, I'm betting, are all about being practical. Folks who want a prettier desktop (colors and fading) should buy that in a separate Product, for a reasonable price. Then again, maybe your R&D figured out that nobody wanted it

AI in general certainly has a place the problem is figuring out where it really fits. NVidia is also an interesting one to watch and maybe they will be the most successful company to use AI correctly for various reasons. Of course right now we are still really early on in a battle of upscale / frame generation
Microsoft is definitely moving towards AI as fast as they can right now. It will be interesting to see how much more of a focus it becomes in Windows 12. I don't think I will ever use co pilot nearly as much as the start menu. I rarely even use co pilot to be honest. Do other people like this feature?
But I realize that may not be as obvious today because we are in the very early stages of shipping more frequently but once we continue our cadence, those who want the latest and greatest version of Fences, we believe, will be better off paying $10 a year rather than $20 a release as they had previously done.
Sure this is fair for the customers who like subscriptions and have been asking for it. But, from the point of v

Does this mean that Fences 5 falls into the classic OD subscription model as well for those under the classic model? The language certainly implies it that will if so I will definitely be renewing
Hello Omnimaxus, You actually need to create those yourself for them to work On all the reg edits you see listed. You should create a new "string value" and give it the name listed which in your case is S11_PutUniversalAppsInFolderByDefault After you create it yourself you can then edit its value to 1 to turn it on or 0 to turn it off

If you purchased this 6-8 weeks (Stardock current is 4 weeks) before another version release you are going to feel sick about it. 40% discount here is going a long way. I do believe going from v4 to v5 is part of what is making it a hard purchase at 27 dollar

Increases in costs are inevitable however such an ask is unreasonable. Counting on a black Friday deal each year is also short sighted. Increase the upgrade fee by 20 to 30% is more inline with typical software support increases.
I think at the core to my solution really comes down to stardock reversi

I am glad you got it working. It sure has been a long ride getting windows 11 just right. At least it has been for me. In the early days I experimented with so many different programs trying to get things like the explorer start menu and taskbar to have the right feel. I know I used explorerpatcher quite a bit early on, but there are so many other programs I wanted to try out as well just to see if I could get the OS looking and functioning well. I dont think I remember all of them. S
