Wouldn't it be the pits to buy a new machine for Win11 between now and then only to find out it wouldn't run Win12?
Yeah it would. Windows 12 may or may not require the new pluton chip as well. Currently only the Ryzen 6000 series have this chip as Intel has opted out of integrating it into their cpus. This means there are not a lot of pcs even out yet that would support a pluton required OS. Hopefully, Windows 12 only ma

I think it is now common knowledge that Windows 12 will be released near the end of 2024. I still believe it is all part of their hardware selling strategy. At first they were going to release a big update every year near the holidays to make pcs look more attractive to buy at Christmas time. Now to sweeten the deal they are going to also increase the number of the operating system every 3 years. However, this strategy looks like it might backfire on Microsoft because their changes fo

I've been geeking out on operating systems since DOS and I'd be very happy to get into Windows 11, but I just can't find anything interesting about it.
For me personally.. The biggest features I use regularly would be snap layouts and the new command bar with explorer tabs over Ribbons. I can not think of a worse explorer menu then ribbon

And he answer to me "stardock wants to steal startallback source code and add it to start 11" In my opinion its stupid answer.
What features are you wanting exactly?
I spoke to creator of StartAllBack. And he's afraid that Stardock is trying to steal his source code because their Start10 / 11 is shity crap.
That sounds salty to me. It must mean stardock is doing something right.
I'd imagine you'll get a lot of requests to put the system tray back onto the taskbar. [e digicons][/e] I don't mind the floating taskbar though.
There is a compatibility issue when hdr is on with the current release. It should work if you turn off your hdr.
It seems to me, it depends on wether SKS (an updated version) will support the Win 11 ribbon/tab style or not, I don't think SKS 10 does, but, I could be wrong too. [e digicons];P[/e] [e digicons]|-)[/e]
skin studio 11 beta is out now
I can see that oldnewexplorer is a popular choice early on in windowblinds 11 use. However, for the other half of people that enjoy explorer tabs this means windowblinds will never resonate with them. This is because explorer tabs requires a different form of artwork to look good and if artists all chose to only make their work by old standards then we will be left with a bunch of artwork that looks awful with explorer tabs in use. Personally, I would like to see some streamlining to
Yes, I was using OldNewExplorer, but even when I Uninstall it and reboot, the problem still occurs, it stays white no matter what.
I am not a fan of those types of programs myself. They make registry changes to your system and don't put them back the way they are supposed to be with a simple uninstall. You need to click all the options correctly first before you uninstall.
Hm... "OldNewExplorer" app that was used for 10 changed a lot of things for the "better"... -I have to check out if it's been updated for Windows11. I have to agree with SimplexDesigns, there is a lot to update for Window 11's changes and it would be nice if it were easier to do.
fytuf's comment re 'a Windowblinds bug on Windows 11' is incorrect. MS hasn't release final version of the OS, so Windowblinds is limited but, as soon as W11 is finalized, there won't be the bug to which he refers. It does seem WB 11 has a fair few teething problems to get to a point were Working is a true statement. You are one of the first i have read saying it mate, that makes me happy to hear "No Issues So Far". I thought the Beta would be for me, then i read the numerous rep
Hi. WB11 works correct on Win 11 22H2 22622 ? I want to upgrade licence if works ok. All of stardocks loaded skins looks great with them though.
But what about the user interface and organization of the application? That part of the question was skipped. It feels super dated and still uses screenshots from past OS systems. It would be nice for skin studio to get a refreshed ui like the rest of your apps. It still feels the same as it did back then on windows 7. I just want whats best for these applications. I love them and just hate that some things get left untouched. [/

Dang Microsoft always having to mess with their UI. You guys could always roll back to the previous build until this issue gets resolved. Settings>system>recovery>go back I would also like to note that only the release channel truly has 22H2. The beta channel is an update after 22H2 that they are still playing around with
