Quoting PhoenixRising1, reply 623 I would recommend for skinners is to take the Windows 11 beta channel seriously and test their work on this channel. So old skins will not work on WB11? I have a loot skins from 2008 to 2022

In all honesty and at the current moment my excitement for Windows 12 is incredibly low. I am having a hard time envisioning why we would even need a new operating system from Microsoft so soon. To me the strategy comes across as a bit of a cash grab for hardware sales. Even with Windows Vista and Windows 8, right now Windows 12 ranks lower then those two in my initial thoughts simply because it's too soon. Since I am a tech enthusiast, I will probably still try out Windows 12. But no

It looks like Windowblinds 11 alpha is out now and that Windowblinds 11 beta will be released in "the next several weeks" 22H2 is due out real soon as well. Microsoft is simply running out of time as far as making any more huge changes.

Hello Mr Up, I think curtains is something we would all love to see on Windows 11, sadly it is something that just isn't working as well as we all want it to. It just goes to show how hard it has been to make third party software for Microsoft products in this day and age. I will say that development for Windowblinds 11 is in progress though. I think this is the product that Stardock will be pushing for a while and hopefully we are able to get more news on this soon.
Here is the link to the video I created, watch as I switch Styles in Windows 11. Many of these changes are not possible without Curtains. Each different Style has been modified with disable 'Replace default frames' in the Window Title Bar.
Isn't the accent color on the file explorer new to 22H2? If it is, this means that Microsoft put it there for a reason. I would then suspect native color changes and new themes using thi

I would guess that Windowblinds 11 will come out around the same time that Windows 11 22H2 hits release. This will also when pc sales start to increase. The best bet would be aroun

I don't think very much stuff is going to work if you use the DEV channel. That channel should only be used by Windows 11 die hards that only want a native Windows 11 experience. The DEV channel is set up to experiment on what may or may not be a good idea for actual Windows 11 builds, it is not even an alpha build as it has parts inserted and taken out weekly. Unfortunately, Microsoft does not always make it clear what you are getting yourself into when it comes to their insider prog

I think this means that the taskbar part is done. This would then leave the command bar and other various Windows 11 system changes to be completed. As far as Start 11 compatibility goes; Can we expect the Windows 10 and 11 themes to also be skinnable?
As it says with Win11 taskbar mode set in ExplorerPatcher. That means none of the above stuff enabled. Very much an edge case.
I suppose there may be some die hard ribbon fans out there that still like Windows 11 taskbar. I do know that the new command bar is hard for some people to get used to at first. Although I would argue that it is superior to ribbons once you get used to it.

I would like to see some streamlining in skin studio myself. It would be nice if amateurs could dip their feet into the skinning waters a bit and do things such as making slight alterations to skins that need updated from windows 10 to windows 11.

It is curious the actual complexity that goes into building a new taskbar. I do know that this is also a highly requested feature people are asking Microsoft to implement. Their response is also that it is too much work. To users such as us it seems a lot more simpler to implement. So, I do wonder myself what exactly makes adding features to Windows 11's taskbar soo tricky.
