For example, I have had experience with other start menu programs and even other taskbar enhancement programs making changes in the registry that prevents start 11 from using a certain feature unless the registry is corrected.

I believe settings are saved somewhere unless a purge is done. If that is the case try checking easy to miss settings such as.. In the setting "control"- Is the first option "clicking start button" switched to "start 11 menu" Also in the very first option: "start menu" - is "use the start 11 menu" switched to "on" If your settings are correct the next step would probably be to run a purge which will delete all of your settings. Just for fun, have you tried putting StartAllBack's start menu on Start 11's taskbar. This should not work either. The reason for this is because for a start menu enhancement to work it needs to hook into something whether it is a windows taskbar or a home made task bar. I do not believe startallback is actually turning anything off in any different way then what Start 11 does. With that said, it seems the two rivals have separate modes of theming and that is just how it works. For me

I do have a question though. If you are content with turning off Windows 11"s task bar, turning off the command bar in Windows 11's explorer and using Windows 10 themes on Windows 11. Then why are you not just using Windows 10 to begin with? Isn't that just about the same thing. If you are content with turning Windows 11 into Windows 10 you can actually turn off Windows 11's taskbar with start 11. All you have to do is install explorerpatcher and then Start 11 will hook into that task

It is capped at a certain height unfortunately, unless the Dev has a reg edit up their sleeve. You can give yourself a little wiggle room by adjusting the font which also makes the whole start menu shorter and thinner. The only way I know to hide that group would be to set your icon size to large or medium with a couple of blank groups to create extra spacing.
