Yeah that TPM requirement is a pain for sure. Probably the biggest thing holding windows 11 back imo. If all else fails you can log in to their website and pick up from #4 in my instructions by dropping the file into the webpage (drag and drop). the website is here https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/onedrive/online-cloud-storage

If you have an Microsoft account you should have one drive. These instructions are for Windows 11. 1. make sure your onedrive is signed in (open onedrive, i.e.type its name in the search and make sure it signs in) 2. open explorer 3. on the very left hand side look for a folder named "OneDrive - Personal" and click to open the location 4. Add file you wish to share to that folder 5. right click the file you wish to share and click on the button "share"<

Start 11 is not working with the dev channel update just released.. jk. Actually this is a nice quick fix, I think start 11 is now working on the windows preview channel better then it ever has before. Let's hope Microsoft is done playing. Side note for Windows 11 Insider users: Anyone that is using the registry key, "OldTaskbarOn11" will need to delete that key to regain control of "show seconds on taskbar clock" otherwise it works.

Hello Ginamae, I have seen this issue happen to a few people now. What has worked for some in the past is running a purge. I will note that by doing this you will lose any saved settings you have for start 10 / 11. To run a purge download the file here https://forums.stardock.com/505872/start11-support-faq#reinstalling Afterwords, reboot, and finally reinstall the latest version of Start
Quoting Neil Banfield, reply 8 For the missing system tray on the latest insider build, this can be fixed by adding the following registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Stardock\Start8\Start8.ini\Start8 Create a new key of type REG_SZ with the Name "OldT
hope this gets fixed up as I love Start 11. I am unistalling and try agin in a day or so. I also note that Fences no longer works on same build- referring to Windows Explorer 'didn't start properly'
Reply #8 does fix start 11 on Windows 11 v22616.1 for me. What version of Fences are you using?
It is particularly frustrating as the next update had a whole pile of fixes for the newer taskbar ready to go. Still I suspect the new taskbar will return in dev channel at some point and when it does we will just have to flick a switch to support it. On the other hand we are feeling good about having the switch in there in case Microsoft did something like this
That does sound frustrating. But, I do agr

It is funny, the fix is basically just a registry key that turns off every single fix that has been done with the Windows 11 insider preview channel. Basically this means; If Stardock never did anything to make Start 11 work on the insiders channel, it would now be working perfectly. That is a lot of wasted man hours. The silver lining is that now texture and transparency will not be a problem on 22H2.

Explorer patcher did the same thing to me a while back. Here is the fix that worked for me (Credit goes to Neil) Open regedit, go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced Find TaskbarSizeMode and give it a value of 0 rather than 1. Sign out and back i
Thanks for passing this on. The current Beat will become the 22H2 production for the fall, so it is worth looking into.
I actually think the devs should be excited about this beta version. I think the fixes may be easy enough, but you will have to wait for an official response from them. It also goes to show you why the dev channel is soo frustrating. Microsoft just spent 2-3 months making their taskbar more touch

Windows 11 preview 22616 has some note worthy changes *texture and transparency work again! Options can be restored *enabling "start 11's taskbar" makes everything on the tail end of the taskbar dissappear *using "Windows 11's taskbar" is set to transparent by default. *Update* I tested start 11 version 1.18 and do not have the dissapearing taskbar buttons on the end of the taskbar. I suspect that the old fix for auto hide is the cause. Since MS rolled

Currently there is not any beta versions of start 11. The most current version is 1.22 When Beta's become available you will see them in your downloads https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products
I might be missing it but where exactly is the setting for the show seconds on system clock? I already had the registry thing enabled and I don't see the option in the configuration to turn it on/off. It's also not showing any difference.
I believe it is only available to people using Windows 11 22H2 (the current Beta/DEV builds). It is not compatible with the current release build of Windows 11
Windows 11 Insider Dev channel build 22610 Start11_1.22-j182 Beta If Start11 taskbar enhancements is activated then all systray icons disappear except for speakers volume and internet connection. This is similar (but worse) to a known problem with this build where just the hidden icons disappear.
The Microsoft update wasn't ready / pushed out too soon. I used the "go back" button in the recovery

This weeks Windows 11 update for the Dev/Beta channel come complete with an incomplete taskbar. For some strange reason Microsoft released an update that does not include, "show hidden icons" on the taskbar. This is listed in their known problems. Strangely enough "other system tray icons" also do not generate on start 11's taskbar when trying and overcome the hidden icon issue. It is fair to say Microsoft sent out a half baked update this week and I was quick to hit the "go b

Honestly, I do not remember seeing this issue before. I will say that version 1.18 was a beta release and did have some rough edges, I would definitely not recommend judging your experience on that version as to whether start 11 is for you. You should be able to at least try version 1.2 as a free trial which is a much better version, and 1.22 for paying customers is even better.
