It looks like you are already on version 1.24. The update is a false reading. OD will falsely detect that you need to update even if you install start 11 v 1.24 manually with an installer
I can confirm this issue. I believe it is an issue exclusive Windows 11 22h2. I would just watch out for version 1.25 being released. Edit - tested on a Windows 10 device. The false update is detected there as well
I think there is two differing philosophies between the two as well. StartAllBack is designed to be retro. Unfortunately, Windowblinds 10 is not compatible with Windows 11 it only works on Windows 10. Windowblinds 11 is currently in development and should be released sometime soon, that will be the program that is compatible with Windows 11

What kind of skinning or themes are you able to do on a native Windows 11 taskbar that you are unable to do with Start 11 running? I do know that you can get some of the older themes running by using explorerpatcher and start 11 together which are compatible. But I have not seen any way to get a custom theme to actually work on a Windows 11 taskbar

Actually if you are using insider preview version 22616 or later with start 11 beta version 1.24 you will get near 100 percent compatibility now. The only stipulation is you MUST run start 11 version 1.24 or you will have a broken taskbar.

I think you may be correct. There have been many versions of start 11 so it would not surprise me if an older version is what was interfering. I hope you were able to get it fixed.
There are two possibilities. 1. "Control" in your "start 11 settings" accidentally got switched to "window menu" rather then "start 11 menu" 2. Somehow Start 11 did not install correctly. The only time I have seen that message is if a program such as explorerpatcher or some other taskbar enhancer (i.e translucent TB / other windows store taskbar enhancers) is installed. If that is not the case with you I would try uninstalling start 11, rebooting and then installing the latest version of start 11 here link

I am not finding a way to add effects or change the speed to a deskscape that is part of a "playlist" I can only find the option to do so with an individual deskscape playing alone. I do believe that you are bringing up an excellent feature request.

It sounds like you have some residual files still on your system. I would recommend running a purge to clean your system of start 11. You can do so here link
You are correct. It will work with a touch screen but not touchpad. That is a worth while feature request however.
