Or invade a good race that has the tech researched. You'll steal it.
The Prefect
I stole it from the altarians when I invaded their systems. ;)
My system had a blue star. But I lost that game due to the change in versions.
When an alien civilization has the alliance tech then it shows themselves allied with themselves in the diplomacy screen. For example, Torian Federation allied with Torian Federation. If I follow all my autopilot ships, then I don't experience the slowdowns I was complaining about. Maybe because the computer calculates them one after another. If I don't follow them, they move all at once. The alignment of a race is still screwed up. With an alignment of 61, I'm considere
In my latest game, I found a class 14 planet with a standard influence of 50. I wonder if this is some kind of special planet, like a precursorplanet or so. Because most systems have an influence rating of 20 to start with.
When you click on a space shark on the end of a turn, when your autopilot ships move, then the game slows down increadibly. I also think that this version is much slower then the other previous versions. Why is that?
When you can't build a starbase because of the lack of money, the constructor stays on top of the resource preventing alien constructors to build on it. Another thing, is it just me or has the time to save increased when compared to the previous versions?
Nope, both starbases are in the same sector.
I found another bug with starbases. I can build starbases closer to each other then 3 parsecs (= 3 squares) and I have the savegame to prove it. Both starbases are not on a resource. I thought that, a couple patches ago, this was changed due to starbase abuse. Cari, if you want to look at it, tell me what to send. [Message Edited]
The movies when you invade a star system for the very first time haven't changed since last time. It still shows the same movie twice. The movie with the spacefleet is shown twice. The other one, the ground invasion movie has disappeared. Can we fix that problem somehow? In a file somewhere like how we can fix the tech issue by ourselves? Oh and another thing. When I shoot a trade vessel for the very first time, and I mean before everybody else, in a war. Shouldn't I see a movie wh
It works now. So the problem did lie with the default number.
Or use the GalcivWriter to make the change.
I thougth that the GalcivWriter put the first sequential number as default. I changed it but it's too late to check it. I'll know more tomorrow. Thanks for the advice.
Hello, I have a problem and don't know how to fix it. I made a new political party which I use in my latest game, but everytime when there is an election, my party doesn't show up. But my party gets elected and just can't see by how many votes my party won the election. Does anybody know what's going wrong? Thanks
I don't know if this is a bug or if it is intentional. But I think that the picture you should get when you want more traderoutes then allowed, shouldn't be a picture of a war. It should be something else in my view. A more peaceful and trade-related picture. If it was meant to be this picture, can you explain the picture?
To be honest, I think the Expansion is quite interesting but the problem is that I don't have a creditcard and I don't have cheques. So basically I can't pre-order the game. And don't think I'm going to call from Belgium to order it. If I could wire some money to some account I could order it. And would probably do that but not yet. I would wait until I know it has released.
I placed in the bug report thread. I'll check that in the next game if an update hasn't shown up in the meantime.
Here's another bug. When you invade a starsystem for the first time, it shows 2 videosequences, one with the armada approaching a planet and the other with those spaceships firing on the planet surface with the explanation that invading a planet is an immense undertaking which requires both ground and air support. In 1.12, the video with the approaching armada is shown in both screens. So the last video has been forgotten. It was a race that had only one planet if that wo

I don't know why it happens but everytime Stardock is installed on my pc. My pc crashes and repairs himself from a serious failure after restarting my pc. Today it happened again, I installed it to download V1.2 of GalCiv. And when I restarted, my pc showed that error-report for Microsoft. I do have Seti@home installed but I'm not going to uninstall it for a game, no matter how great a game is. Does anyone know an explanation? [Message Edited]
I think I understand now. Thanks for the info.
Is there some text that explains the calculations of the Metaverse? Because I searched for it but didn't find anything. It would have been helpful to know how it calculates your score.
There is something wrong with my profile too. But I only submitted my last game today and got a lower score then before my submission. Although I raised in rank. Something is messed up I think.
Yes but when you have 50 or more ships, it can become quite timeconsuming to change them one by one. Didn't know this topic was discussed in the past. Sorry for the double topic then. [Message Edited]
Oh that explains it too ofcourse, but I just thougth it was United States. But then again, why use Sol when there is only one planet in that solar system with people on them? So I still think it should be United Earth System. [Message Edited]
