In another blog about questioning God I made the comment that just as I expect my children to question me, I'm sure god expects us to question him. Another blogger "corrected" me by saying that I was wrong because I didn't create my children, God did. So, what do you think on that subject? I think God created my children in the same way my great grandparents did. My husband and I had total control over when we chose to have children. We chose their names, how t

There is no job more difficult, challenging, important, rewarding, or inspiring than raising healthy, well adjusted children. I guess only time will tell regarding the well adjusted part LW <

As those of you who know me or have been reading my blog, I am by default, a happy, content person. I enjoy being at home, watching my baby play or listening to my kids talk to each other. Happiness to me is sitting down to dinner as a family and tucking everyone safely in at night. The down side of being a content person is you don't tend to be driven. There isn't a lot that compels me to go out and strive to tackle new challenges. I have no chip on my s

Hi TW! Thanks for the mention. I haven't even managed to send anything for your baby girl yet, you really think I'm finding time to blog? I'd love to write more but it seems like whenever I think of something coherent to write, I have my hands full of baby. When I don't have my hands full, I have a bzillion other more pressing things like laundry, bill paying, etc. Ashley will eventually be less of a handful and I will be able to get back to blogging. I'll just have to do

I'd lend you my baby but I doubt she'd have the same affect on you as she does on me Seriously, I think there are different answers to "getting happy" depending on what is preventing your happiness. If it is "attitude", obviously a lot of the things that others have suggested like meditation and "counting blessings" (which I do constantly), are good solutions. However, if the problem is chemical,

My 6yr old says some of the sweetest things some times. He is often quite a rascal and by the time he was a year old, earned himself the nickname "Ryan the Destroyer". But just when you think you are getting angry with him, he says something that just stops you in your tracks. Last night I told him I had to kiss the top of his head goodnight because I'm sick and don't want him to get sick. He said he didn't mind getting sick as much as he minds seeing me feel sick...

I recently had an interesting experience. I initially met my son's friend's mother on the phone then met her in person today and got totally different impressions. I don't think this has ever happened before. Sure, some people have seemed a little different in person or I envisioned them looking a little different. This woman seems very ditzy on the phone and not at all in person. This lead me to wonder what kind of impression I give on the phone. Do I so

They joked about this on Regis and Kelly this morning. Kelly mentioned that it would be convenient for when your fishies kicked it She said it is kind of like building your house on top of the cemetery.

she'll be having actual conversations that makes you wonder I certainly have my anxieties about that but I do look forward to the cute things she'll say before we get to that stuff. It must be hard not to squeeze her.</T

My boys don't go back to school until the 16th! They may kill each other before then. Holy Crap! Mine are certainly showing signs of a bit of overexposure to each other and they get along better than any siblings I've ever witnessed. Best wishes to you TW. BTW, how's your little beauty doing? <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%"

Is she gorgeous or am I just biased? ;) I'm in love with my little girl. Her smile is infectious. That is the face I wake up to in the morning, how could I not wake up happy? She will be 5 months old on the 5th. Almost a half year has gone by since she entered our lives. In some ways it seems like she's been here forever and in othe

Is it also the semester break for your children? They don't really have a semester break. I'm not sure how they figure out the breaks. They also get a "Mid Winter" break for a week in Feb! They aren't done with school until June 15. We never had the long breaks but we were done with the school year by Memorial Day. <TABL

As you can see, the holidays were exhausting at our house. They were wonderful, happy and healthy yet I am a bit relieved they are over. My kids don't go back to school until the 8th but the pressure of keeping everyone healthy, keeping the house clean and holiday ready, and making sure it is a Christmas to remember is over with. Santa was good to eve

I love every single one of those! What an angel! Isn't it fun to dress up a girl after having two boys?! I'm impressed you got her in for photos so soon. I didn't manage to Ashley in until she was 3 months. The one with the boots is amazing. Great job!

BTW, I got your Christmas card today. I love the photo. Thanks for thinking of us. Glad you got it! You're very welcome. Sounds like those who have little boys or were little boys get it. Nose picking isn't a boy only problem but the boys seem a little more active with it.

Talking to a 6yr old is always an adventure. My 6yr old, Ryan, got home from school and was in a very chipper mood. He told me his teacher was sick and one of his best friends is now on Club Penguin. For some reason these things made him very happy. Here comes the question I was expecting..."Can I have a cookie?" Followed by a statement I wasn't expecting at all..."I didn't eat any boogers today." Wow! Didn't see that one coming!
