There is going to be, on NBC a six part miniseries (remember those). The plot is basically that the world has reached the end and the book of Revelations is coming to pass. There are two protagonists in the story trying to find a way to forestall the end, and there are those that are encouraging it. It’s an intriguing story idea, since I work nights, I will probably

OK, I do not really watch Saturday Night Live too often. I am generally on the computer, but my wife and I watch the opening sketch. It is generally a takeoff on the current events of the day, so when I sat down and saw the Pope Debates, I thought, YES !!! SNL back to cutting edge. This could get good. I thought Cardinal Guido Sarducci would make an appearance. So whe

What cases inthe US? Basically the Canadians pased a law that restricts some foms of speach. Even in the United States there are things you cannot say in public. The famous "Fire" in the teater come to mind. Likewise I cannot stand on a street corner spouting obscenities at passers by. I can stand there all I want, I can pass out leaflets voicing my opposition to position 68 (you do me and I'll owe you one), I can even talk at lengh
For better or worse, at least this whole ordeal will slowly fade -- I hope. No, it won't. Have you read some of the blogs so far. You would think the Democratic Minority Leader pulled the plug. Besides, I don't think it's a D-R or L-C thing anyway. People have very specific views about death, euthenasia, quality of life that exists beyond the political arena. And you made my point.: "The left comes across as looking hypocrit

I would think you would need to see the negative to be sure. Also, you would need perspective. Making sure the lady is standing where the site says she is standing. IG
You want a president as shady as Richard Nixon. A president who orchestrated the Watergate scandal, undermined the political process, lied to the American public and then through Ford, got away with it? I give you Ted Kennedy and Chappaquiddick and Mary Jo Kopechne. A man, a car, a drowning death and a flimsy story did not slow him down, and he’s still a se

The camps weren't always just Death Camps. True, Auschwitz-Birkenau was opened in May of 1940 and the first "gassings" didn't happen until Sept. 1941 after a visit from Eichmann. There were murders and torture before then, but no gassings. IG

It was on the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. The team was walking through the family’s house and the father (I think) was describing how they were all sitting in this room during a hurricane when a tree came crashing through the ceiling. Quick question. You mentioned: I have to keep an eye on the mailbox for things that I didn't order, and if things show up, I have to go across to the post office and file a mail fraud complaint. What I was basically trying to say, was that most of the insurgent attacks kill about 3-10 people or so. This one took out over 100 in one explosion. So, either this was just "luck" (bad/good whatever) or these poeple have found a serious weakness in the defenses and the next attack could number more fatalities. IG
Remember in Star Wars 3, Jabba's line: "You're my kind of scum, fearless and inventive." So, even if we assume that the President is right, that we are winning the war against the insurgents, does this mean that even if there number is dwindling, the're getting better? It's just the number, 125 dead in one attack. IG <!-- Ju-Anchor-Fo
I think Bush will approach this with as open of a mind as Chirac. I tend to think that the President has already made up his mind and this trip is more of a diplomatic courtesy call. Sort of a "we value your input in this matter and will give your views our utmost consideration." Rumsfelld, warm up the
