for productivity and gaming I use a microsoft intelimouse explorer 2.0, wireless and before that another intelimouse that was wired (would have got a wired one but alas wireless only now it seems). I like the shape and number of programable buttons. had it over a year and have changed batteries twice. logitech, had a bad experience many, many moons ago (cheap and unreliable) and have dissed their product line ever since. for fun and pleasure I use the disney minnie-mouse.

it really sucks when you're working on a blind in XP just before you get your new computer that operates with vista only to find out that the XP blind is not vista compatable and that you have to learn to use SKS6 all over again with vista and then you realize that windows7 will be released before you get up to speed the vista model. (a true story)

on the serious side: congratulations all, good show. on the (not so) tongue in cheek side: Jafo, you do the golf ball through a soda straw thing real good. Listen, you got to give me something to shoot for. I'm pretty sure that after 6 years and 17 blind uploads that if I'm not promoted by now, I ain't going to be. and while I'm reluctant to mention that personalities play such an important roll in promotions, it does. zone alarm sucks. it has a mind of it's own and adds allowed sites even though you may delete them, close the program, reopen the program and there they are again. I didn't find the free version user friendly and their support for the free program is none. free anti-virus programs work just fine, find one that you like, is easy to use and let it do it's thing (usually not a lot of choice they also have a mind of their own) Usually no support is provided for the free versions.

I'm starting over. No Neil...the blind...is that...color. started a new blind, changed said uis2 frames and the text does appear on the frame as it should. my buttons were a little ragged, didn't transfer well??? I'll do the xp portion from my son's computer (NOTE TO SELF: remember to update the software) thanks all for your help.
