just curious and since someone else started it... what I have heard so far seems to be related to the "pro" version of WB6. is there a way to insert an avi file for the "please wait" animation without having the "pro" version???
Wimpy, yes, i am using SKS 5. Sorry about that.
ah, jazzy, no big deal, it was the "content margins" that gave you away. Content margins/text position same thing. You know, I don't have vista and still find that SS6 provides me more functionality than SS5 did. I do miss the code editor occasionally but importing pngs is much more easy. just thinking out loud. as always, thanks for responding.

Hi jazzy, are you using SS5? I can't recall seeing any "content margin" references in SS6, I think they are all referred to as "text" adjustment settings??? is there another set of adjustments that I'm not looking at, that would be way cool to find more tweaks. anyhow, this is using SS6, "edit menus and menu bars" edit window, "pop-up menus" graphics (background and menu item) I have adjusted the right text margin of the menu item to various values (5 to 50) and the text

I recently had a problem with AVG doing something similiar with a file in my restore partition. I excluded that folder from being scanned, problem solved. (no, it wasn't a trojan horse) If you choose to do so, maybe Norton will allow you to exclude that folder from being scanned???

WB6 - SS6.0 - XP(SP2) I'm attempting to adjust the location of where text shows up with pop-up menus. It doesn't seem to matter if my left text adjustment value is 5, 10 or 45, it is still in the same place. Icons are 2 pixels in from left border and text starts at 23 pixels from left border. I am making these adjustments from the menu item text settings.
log into WC and you should be logged into the GUIC site as well.
not quite true for this user. you all provided me with how it should work so it was easier track down the problem. it's a cookie issue and I have provided an exception for that address but I still have to log in to be logged in. without the listed exception ie7 won't accept the log in cookie. xp, sp2, ie7 (exception cookies only) and safari (limited cookies) once more, thanks yawl

now I'm curious. these levels (citizen, apprentice, etc.) appear to be assigned by WC, so what is the specific criteria that is applied. I have uploaded eight blinds and participate in the foums (mostly sniveling but some offering of suggestions) and I am rated a citizen. I notice others with far less uploads and minimal participation being rated apprentice. I mean my existence is not dependent upon being recognized for my efforts but if I had some goal that I wanted to attain it woul

even though I have been doing this for a few years I continue to learn better ways to do things of improve what little I do actuall know so, I do understand what your saying, thank you all.
I make all my animations, using pngs...I make the images in paint shop pro, then use Animation Shop to assemble the frames and make the avi.
that's good to hear, I'm using the same programs. I will approach this from a different perspective my next attempt.
