Yes, I would still support the war. Yes, Saddam needed to go ( back in Gulf War 1 would have been better ). Mark my words ( as you hedged yours) WMD will be found. There is, and will continue to be peace in Iraq, fewer people are dying under occupation, than when Saddam was in power.... The French, Germans, and the UN have all been called for what they are , Complicit Paper Tigers.. In no way can my mind be changed that THE UNITED S

Many people confuse grits with cream of wheat, nary a comparible dish. Now oat meal, or cream of wheat or cream of rice, those are OK for sugary additions - not grits. When you go to buy look for Quaker Quick Grits, remember no instants ! Enjoy.....

I see that you are an advanced grits coniseur. I didn't want to confuse the potential novice so I left out some of the more advanced additions such as ; Liverpudding "Breakfast in a bowl " Combine grits, eggs ( runny of course ), bacon and cheese Fried grits - Allow grits to congeal in frying pan 2 inches thick, cut into brownie sized chunks, pan fry, serve like hash browns sardines in mustard sauce ( really, poor mans caviar )

Grits, so simple to prepare, so easy to screw up. If by chance you have the opportunity to take a southern journey, and feel the desire to try a little of the local fare, you are doing yourself a terrrible disservice if you order grits from some chain resturant !!! Commecial preparation requirements are just not appropriate for good grits! The first problem is that grits are meant to have salt as a primary ingredient, without salt the cor

Blue ribbons are in these boys future !!! The team building exersises went great, the food was fantastic, and everyone had a great time. Even a brief rainshower couldn't manage to dampen the spirit. The words I always seem to have come to mind in arguments such as this are " ...and the pursuit of happiness.." Nowhere in our constitution is their any guarantees of happiness, just the guarantee of our right to pursue that happiness. Therein lies the overwhelming difference pointed out in your article. Simple words, painstakingly choosen by an ethicist and a diplomat ( Jefferson and Franklin respectively ) who were led in no small way by the

Back when all of this started I caught a comic on one of the late nite shows who questioned, " What is insider trading?, It's like when your girlfriend at the Wal-Mart tells you not to buy that blouse today, it's going on sale tommorow." We've ALL done something like that, and what's worse is we profitted from it, Martha has lost MILLIONS over a 40k whisper..... I pity her, she's been persecuted for being a super successful, albiet, arrogant b

Has anyone found that blogging is addictive? OK. Packing up to take to the woods in the morning. We've finally got some cooperative weather and it's been about 4 months since our last camping trip. It seems that our previous attempts have been run asunder by unusually cold, wet, and/or icy weather. As a rule our scout troop has a camping trip the 1st weekend of every month, just not if you can't get out of your driveway. This trip

Perhaps stripes will be in this fall. Terribly overzealous prosecution, much ado over nothing, and Lots of people made money over Martha's Persecution. I personally bought 1000 shares of MSO @ 13.24 last Friday when they announced that some charges were being dropped, I dumped the stock this morning after hints of a verdict coming out later in the day ( pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered ) sold MSO @ 15.12, after fees Martha's mess made me a qu

Listening to Rush earlier today, he asked the same questions of the use of war in a campaign ;as to FDR, a campaign button was referenced "I remember Pearl Harbor " with FDR's face ( he was a dem., right? ) I think Bush has to remind the country what we've been thru, and what he's done/doing to prevent it in the future, and I believe it was calculated to come out early with these images to gauge the Dems response. Again, referencing El Rushbo, Hi

Uh, what about Jimmy Buffett? As an over 40 starting over guy, I have found that experience is just not enough ( they're just not hiring), Every interview I have gone to as of late I have been classified as either over or under Qualified. The positions that I feel I would be best at seem to want that MBA in order to validate my otherwise perfect credentials. I loved it when I was self-employeed, but for reasons I've posted before, I just can't go there anymore. One problem

Thank you all for your responses, I see my points climbing already;) Nice little addition with the icons too, certainly seems to help when a pun or inuendo is implied, yet not understood by the audience As to the rankings I see that for the most part those that were here before me are still "in the lead" with a few additions to the fray, most that I have visited seem at least aq

I've been surfing Joeuser the last few days of my return, to find that prolific writers have become somewhat snobish in their pursuit of "points". I have returned not for rankings, but for the purely selfish ability to spout my warped and boring opinions to any who may read them. Before I lost my password and went into self-imposed silence, I had opined to the rank of 30 something within the timespan of about a month. Perhaps I may once again attai

May I forward this fantastic human interest story to the London Times, or perhaps for the States side The National Enquirer? Dharma, this story could be worth millions if you gave an exclusive. Sir Peter, as a matter of now public record, I would reccomend that you compensate your daughter in exchange for her silence. I will kindly broker any settlement.....for 30%.

Frogs and Chickens???? We're more of the Nautical theme here, lots of brass, ropes, boat pictures, palms etc.... as for flexibility I can still touch my toes ( when sitting). Fly Fishing ? Why that's just another form of yoga for the outdoorsperson......... Gay Marriage ? I have no problem with 2 consenting adults doing practically anything they want to do, BUT, I have a real problem with the cost involved when non-traditional groups come t

I am currently enrolled at Thomas Edison State College ( TESC ), attempting to formalize my education. TESC is one of the few online schools that are truly accredited, with full transferibility to real "brick and motar"Universities. The courses are not at all easy, the mentors and instructors are helpful, and it's fairly inexpensive. I pay $4200.00 annually which covers all tuition, books average about $150.00 per course, and you can earn as many credi

There is no way you can have suicidal tendencies while taking Paxil !!!! I took it for 6 months and had no tendencies at all !!!!!! No priorities, no desires, no problems....... just breath, nap, breath, eat, nap, breath, ad nausem........ GREAT DREAMS tho, can't remember any, but I think I thought they were great.

It's not even Christmas yet I wish it were March. My personal contribution to the up-turn in the economy is staggering, I mean every retailer for 30 miles should send me options and prospectus with the ammount of investment my wife has shelled out this season. Thank God we have no credit cards !!! But the cash flow is so weak I may need to , ugh, get a job..... I've soo enjoyed retirement and school but life, and it's subsequent cost, continue unabated. I still have over a year left

Half day of school for youngest, Teen son gets an early out for vacation, no exam required today, wife works a full day today, I get to load up the SUV for the trip to my moms. Gosh I really look forward to traffic hell on I-95. It shouldn't be too bad south bound, but coming back sunday will be murder, typically Florida tagged luxury cars loaded with old folks and goodies, making the trek up north.
