I applaude your keen observations and diligent research! I have, in the spirit of your post, provided some additional Indicators, discovered in my area of expertise. Real Men do not drive; New Beetles ( the stock flower vase should be a clue ) Mini Coopers ( Mini ???? ) Subaru's ( there is a reason most of their ad budget is on Lifetime, HGTV, and Food Network ) You sir, are providing an excellent public service, keep up

Tova7 has described my dream house! We recently resurected our present home, and tried to incorporate as many modernizations as we could afford, but we did all the work ourselves and ease of completion factored strongly. Added closets, 1 1/2 bathrooms, jacuzi tub, bar, media room, updated kitchen, ceramic tile, refinished hardwood floors, cable/alarm/DSL in all rooms,Central AC, and a 2nd floor deck off the MBR ( eventually will add a

It was so cool! What was the show that came out a while back with a similar pretense? I recall a dancer in a club and an investigator living in a motel, and some old guy who ran the small town, and someone getting cremated, and a desert, I think it was set in Nevada.....

Forever, No attack taken, and I concede I did mention race when setting the scene. I'll add a little more background to my comment; Durham is a racially, socio-economically, and educationally divided city. More so than any other city of comparable size than I could imagine. EVERYTHING that happens in the Triangle area gets posed in the media ( at least locally)on a racial or, to be politically correct, cultural basi

Hey admins, Thanks for the feature!!!! I'm humbled. Jimbo, Hey Troll, I call this an essay, typically a brief outline supporting a particular point of view of anywhere from 1500 to 2500 words If you want a study I'd reccomend reading something by Esposito or Goldschmidt, or maybe Suess.......

Whoa, I never mentioned race until the very end of my comment, and then only in the context of a lack of support for the Lacrosse team IF they are innocent. Which is worse? Wrongly and Publicly accusing someone of Rape, or the act itself? They are both heinous and awful acts, But no one here has been arrested, no one charged, no one, yet the popular opinion of the moment is THEY ARE ALL GUILTY !!!!! No tri

I was stationed at APG, Maryland at the time. The base was mobilized for a few hours, rumours of Russians, etc.....really scary Cold War stuff. Once the dust settled and a stand down was ordered, I recall a lot of relief, not just because Reagan was OK, but because the shooter was a nut job and not a Russian agent. We were involved in field testing the new M-1, and nobody wanted to complete that testing in Eastern Europe. ( for the cu

Welcome And Kudos on all those accomplishments....Emily Riddle? ain't that where all them hijackers took flight lessons? Flew into Daytona a while back, the Air Traffic Radio sounded like a NYC taxi cab.....( OK, nuff stereotyping )

Gotta come to the defense of the yet to be charged, "innocent until proven guilty", Lacrosse Team. For those unfamiliar with Durham, there is a definite "Love - Hate" relationship with the City and University, and there is a pervasive racial divide in the city as well. All that taken into consideration leads me to believe there's more in play here than rape aligations. In fact it sounds a whole lot like the Tawanna Brawley episode that brought

Chakgoga, The major failing is that the mandate plan was followed in name only, not in the concept introduced by Wilson. Britian had more concern over security of the Suez canal, France had designs to formally colonize Greater Syria, and all of Europe supported a Zionist homeland, some for no other reason than a means to reduce their jewish populations. In the early 1900's the USA was a very young, upstart country, consider

Hold on Bludev! Don't become a slave to those benefits, they seem so nice and comforting, but just as others have posted, sometimes they become the major reason behind staying at a job. Benefits can become a stifling resourse when the time comes to venture out into the world of self-employment ( self reliance )it's way too easy to stay with the benefits than to pursue personal independence......... Just a flip side to the argument

Thanks Dr. Guy, This is yet another posting culled from my essays for Middle Eastern studies, I appologize for the lack of specificity in citing the various treaties and historic correspondences, my original audience was well versed and stating the document title was all that was required. In a nut shell, President Wilson had a vision for establishing a system of government very similar to ours in the Middle East, the colonialist would ha

I truly believe the turmoil we are currently experiencing in the Muslim World can be directly linked to the mishandling of the division of the former Ottoman Empire. Without a doubt the European victors of WWI looked at the Middle Eastern region as “spoils of war”, with little or no regard for the desires of the population. The 18th century mindset that prev
