Robinson Crusoe on Mars with Paul Mantee and his man Friday! A cult classic Damn, I thought I was the only person who ever saw that movie. I used to like Star Trek, but the story lines started to seem pretty recycled as time went on. Loved reading Heinlein, Aasimov, Niven, Herbe

sitemeter: If you scroll down to the bottom of the page you'll see a sitemeter icon. My guess would be that it's for monitoring WC traffic. intelletext: intellitext is the little paid links that show up when you hover your mouse over a particular word or phrase. This is only seen if you do not have a WC or ODNT subscription. gamezone: not sure, but Stardock also develops several games, so it may be a link of some kind to one o

Interesting counterpoint:http://yahoolian.dyndns.ws:3000/articles/2005/09/17/firefox-vs-ie-security Compare the Secunia advisories: IE: http://secunia.com/product/11/ FF: http://secunia.com/product/4227/ I don't consider myself a Firefox "Fan-Boy" I personally couldn't care less what browser someone uses (unless it's one of the people who's PCs I am constantly having to clean up <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/

Hmmm, an IE exploit gives someone access to your whole root directory and all your personal data. A FF exploit gives access to the last few sites you visited. That looks like a fair comparison to me. An IE exploit goes months before being patched. FF exploits are sometimes fixed within 24 hours. Yes, FF will become a bigger target as it gains more popularity. There is probably no such thing as a completely secure browser anymo

My ATI has always worked great for me. My friends with nVidia cards always seem to have to find new drivers whenever they get a new game.

I thought this was what do you prefer. I guess that was a little ambiguous. This is, mostly, a public forum. Therefore I believe most "issues" should be dealt with publicly. I also think there are situations that would be better dealt with in a more discreet manner.

I think the moderators should have the leeway to make a judgement call on whether a comment calls for private or public attention. The public comment shows that there is a line, and where it has been crossed. Other times, removal of an offending post, and a note from an Admin that the matter is being dealt with privately could save lots of flaming.

The simplest way is to make a shortcut on your desktop, then drag that shortcut onto the ObjectDock bar. The other way is to make a new OD shortcut, right-click on the new icon, select "Dock Entry Properties" then in the "Link" section, browse to the folder you want to link to. You could also have the target folder open, then copy and paste the UNC path from the address bar into the "Links" section in the Dock Entry Properties.

The article is a little dated, but good for consideration nonetheless. http://www.blackviper.com/TheRant/amd_vs_intel_2.htm In other news: BlackViper is back up.

it wanted to take control over all of my compressed files! Hoepfully, it won't this time. When you install, you should get a window asking what file types you want to associate with WinRAR. Select the ones you want associated, or de-select the ones you don't want it to handle, depending on how it's s

To top it all off most of the calls come from family and it's usually something I've fixed for the same person at least once before. Some people just can't resist clicking everything that pops up in front of them. Of course sometimes it's worse if they actually tried to fix it themselves. Then

dy110, there is another thread where people are having trouble installing downloaded cursorxp installers. Where did you DL your installer? Was it through Stardock Central, or through download.com or someplace else? You might try re-downloading. Your installer may be corrupted.
