Try turning off your firewall and see if that's blocking your connection to the weather server. Sometimes a Windows update will cause that to happen if you're using the Windows XP firewall. If you're using a 3rd party firewall, such as Norton, a recent update could also have caused the same effect.

I came across OSX for x86 on a usenet group, but it wouldn't install past the point of looking for the hardware validation. I poked around in the ISO, but I'm not enough of a progammer/hacker to tell what part needed "fixing" to get it to install.

Thanks, BakerStreet. I moved the preferences file to another folder(also deleted the prefs file to PS 7.0 just to be safe), restarted PS and it worked fine. The image I was cropping is actually a small PNG, so I couldn't see what was causing the problem. photoshop isn't really good at that....i recomend ACDSe

I recently upgraded to Photoshop CS from PS 7. Since then whenever I try to resize an image I get the message that the task could not be completed because the scratch disks are full. I have moved the scratch disk to another partition on my main drive (didn't help) then to a slave drive (also didn't help) both partitions have over 10 GB free, so what gives? I read something somewhere about replacing the PS preferences folder.

As stated by others above, this is a known issue, with an unknown cause. Sometimes closing and relaunching FF will fix it. Sometimes you need to change your FF theme. The "fix" seems to vary from system to system. Just find what works for you and use that. I've looked a few times on the Mozilla forums, but since it really only affects a small percentage of users (ie: those using FF and Windowblinds)I don't think it rates high enough to get the

The burner came with Nero 6 ultra. I forgot about that, mine came with Nero Express bundle. I haven't installed the drived yet, so I hadn't even looked at what was on the CD that came with it. Got mine at Microcenter. No Fry's in Cincinnati.

Hmmm, Nero 6.6: $69-$90 (depending on where purchased) DVD ROM drive: as little as $39 btw, I just picked up a Samsung dual-layer 16X DVD burner for $49. My money is tight these days, but I couldn't pass for that price.

Repeat SWH's and 122385's comments. A separate video card is one of the best things you can do to speed up your system regardless of whether you game or not. Any load taken off the CPU and system memory is that much more that can be used for other processsing.
