You can get rid of the bloat but unloading any of the plugins that you don't use...thus reducing the amount of memory you use. I don't use it for IRC or jabber or rendezvous so I don't have those plugins installed. Plus I have no use for the video/audio conferencing so I got rid of those dll files. All told I reduced my memory footprint to about 4 mb at any one time and that is with the main window open, aim/msn/y! signed in and conversations going

Somebody please put those articles up because I would love to read them also and get a kick out of them. But more back to my point of word of mouth of bad press....there is a good discussion of people's point of view of computer customization on a forum right now (extremely civialized conversation and I want it to stay that way) and someone had to make a comment like this: <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgColor=#FFF394 clas

For those that know me and those that don't I have been a loyal user of windowblinds since the 2.x days and iconpackager since 1.x. I finally decided to buy a subscription to object desktop a little less then a year ago and it was a great move. I love using desktopX, right click, and enhanced dialogs. To say the least I l

On my new ThinkPad I just use my finger print to access everything. I see only one problem with that...what happens over time as the machine gets a little used/abused/beat up/dirty? How well will the fingerprint indentifier work?

Well, just open the panel, convert it to tga, remove the magic pink, put in some sorta aero affect or whatever, then import the image into Skinstudio as a tga. What do you use to convert a bmp to tga? Photoshop?

AT1981, i think you'll have to make new tga images for that particular start panel btw, keep up the good work over at neowin. Arrgggg....I was really hoping we could just open an exisiting theme, play around with a few setting and boom...get some alpha blending

I know that most of us, myself included, don't use this program, but I do keep track of its development. On Jan 14, the beta of 3.0 was released, one of the major upgrades being the support of cursors, specifically the .cursorxp file format. Isn't that the format used by Cursorxp? I so hope this isn't going to turn into another iconpackager ordeal. Any news that anyone can share on this?

You're 33 years old now so stop spewing hate about CUSTOMIZE.ORG and learn to listen to what others have to say. We the .msstyle authors don't want our works tampered with by your program without our consent. Each and everyone us are potential customers but we are turned off to your products by some of your comments. These same "

It's amazing that how opinioned people can be. Do people release when they release a VS made in the msstyle format that it is illegal? They have taken a piece of microsoft code, altered it, and then released it....thus violating MS initellictual property rights according to the US DMCA. Why use a hacked piece of code when you can use a program that does it for you safely? People use programs for almost everything ranging from word p

Just updated to the lastest nightly beta and already I see some new goodies, I am loving what I am seeing. Can't wait to see some new skins once the alpha blending goes live.

I don't want to see skin's like our Catwoman WMP mutilated and then posted in a format i didn't okay in the screenshot section. Where are my rights? Where are my client's rights not to have their property changed without permission and posted for all to see? <

Jeff, by your argument then every msstyles user should have their skin pulled off every site. EVERY single .msstyles file on the net (I've yet to see an exception) is a modification of the original luna.msstyles. Most msstyles authors are unaware of this. You wrote: <BR

If Microsoft had made .msstyles an open format for people to use and made it freely available for other people to make skins with then I think there would be a valid point to be discussed. But skinners to choose to use msstyles to skin are already violating someone else's intellectual property rights...microsoft's. There a
