Well, it's nice to know that one person out of the hundred-some-odd that read this a week gives a rat's ass. Same old, same old -- for me, anyway: a sudden, inexplicable loss of all finances. I can't find out what happened. I can't get most people on the phone, and the few I got won't tell me anything -- like it's none of my business where all my money went. I'm destitute. Can't pay the rent, can't pay the bills, spent the last $2 on cat foo

It hardly ever fails. Every year, sometime around my birthday, a crisis erupts that threatens life and home. Combine the crap that tends to happen to me around the end of year holidays with the annual birthday-time crises and you can see why I'm tense and watchful from December to May. This year's crisis hit last week, coming just days post-birthday.

Time and again I hear people talking about the Terri Schiavo case say about President Bush and Congress, "It's a private family matter. The government shouldn't get involved!" Perhaps one of you can help me -- I must have been on vacation and missed the news -- when did the judiciary stop being part of the government? I'd really like to read the succession pa

I want to see the two episodes they did in German again.... that's taking a risk for comedy. At least one of them is available on DVD. I borrowed it from the library a couple years ago.

5. Funniest Joke in the World (I think this one is overrated.) Not only my favorite, but I think it might actually be the funniest joke in the world. "Lumberjack Song" and "Nudge Nudge" are also at the top of my list. I also loved a sketch they did in "Monty Python Live at the H

The Office is NBC's second attempt -- and second failure -- in as many seasons to translate a popular British sitcom into a successful American franchise. While ostensibly being a documentarian's look at a dysfunctional regional office for a paper- and office-supply company, its main focus is the even more dysfunctional boss Michael Scott, played by St

No offense meant, DG. "Irrelevant" only in the sense that it's not necessary for your core message. You could plug anything in there and make your point. China was the just the vehicle, MSM was the passenger. You could have had MSM riding in a Ferrari, an SUV, or a donkey cart. The vehicle is secondary to the person. Our good Colonel couldn't see the passenger for the car. It's like Howard Hughes rode up in a rusting apart Model-A and

Goodness, Colonel. If you'll do a word search on the comments and the article, you'll find the first use of "conservative" is by you, and the first use of "liberal" is by Moderateman in reference to the media outlets. No-one called you a liberal here. You are however an ideologue, so obsessed with your personal white whale that you can't correctly decipher what you are reading. The article was a commentary on the state o

The file is only 993 kb Well, that lets out the free places I was thinking of. I searched around. I found some places for posting MP3s, but not RealAudio. Most places don't allow "hotlinking," which you'd need to directly link to it from here. Most of the places I found fell do

But not about the fact that they're doing this on purpose so that once they fix it they say we all have to subscribe if we want to keep going *sniff* Eeek. I didn't mean they were doing this on purpose, just that if everyone left because it wasn't fixed it wouldn't matter. <img src="../images/smiles/lol

... ok, since we are talking like adults here, why is it that in those sex videos that my friends have... not me... always show a woman getting off on the whole things? I mean she could be faking it, but why? "Dude, she'd love it if she'd just do it!" "Those videos" cater

I have a question. Do you think my latest article, would have been appropriate to post here? I couldn't decide. It's not a book review per se, but it is about books (using a particular book as an example).
