Yeah, I figured out Hardee's was the eastern version of Carl's Jr. several years ago when I saw Happy (the Carl's star symbol) on their restaurants. I went in just to see what was up. Same menu. It was nice to know Carl's had extended beyond Texas. If Hardee's ever gets something called "The California Roast Beef Sandwich" you've got to try it. That was the greatest sandwich eve

Have you seen the new Hanes underwear ad? Alas, the Brunette Buttermilk Babes of Burger King have been displaced in my affection. I'm so fickle. This is officially my new favorite hear-the-music-and-run-to-stare-at-the-TV commercial. It's basically nothing but Marisa Tomei wandering around an apartment. But really, what more do you need in life? How

Okay, Aeryck, Let's say I believe you are for real and sincere. Let's say I believe you're just displaying the typical zeal of a "baby Christian." The way you are going about things isn't much better than the guy with the "Sinners Repent! The End Is Near!" sign. You'll notice Jesus always talked to people in their own language. I.E., when he was talking to farmers, he used farm metaphors. You need to gauge the people a

Imageshack, you don't even have to register to use it. Just upload and take note of the link. I've seen sites like that, where you just upload and link without having to register, go down quickly before. They can't sustain themselves. I would never trust one again. Of course, any service, free

If you were able to choose between talking to a Doctor of Divinity and a 2nd year beginner revel in religious studies which would you choose. Umm, you were talking to a DD recently (possibly two) and you called him (them) "atheist." <B

I use pix8.net to host the pictures on my blog here. No ads. Never receieved any SPAM. It's been reliable and speedy. Photobucket has a similar service, but I've never used it, so I can't tell you anything about it. Several people I know use 250free.com for image hosting. Again, I haven't used it, so I can't tell you

I do wonder how the Italians will handle this since they hailed Calipari as a national hero not long ago. He's was and is a hero because he threw himself on her to protect her. That it was necessary because farther back the timeline he made a dumb mistake doesn't detract from that, in my opinion. He cou

Also, another thing I've noticed - my Top Articles list on the right is much different for me when I'm logged in than if I'm not. If I'm not, it draws off the articles on my front page, but if I am, it shows the all-time top-scoring articles on my blog, inclduing from my archives. None of which are very new.

let's do it up big and bring charges against colonel sanders, colonel angus, I think we should bring something up on Colonel Angus, because Colonel Angus always brings something up on me. (...we now return you to your regularly scheduled political rumpus...)

I ,too, was Caligula. Towards the end of your reign, you had a golden statue of yourself made and dressed each day in the same clothes you yourself wore. Well, I did have a Teddy Bear I used to dress in the same costume I was wearing in my current production. I'll have to try this gold

I'm on the ground You're in the air again Releasing the hounds You wanted a harlequin A harlequin is a type of clown in Commedia Dell'Arte. Consider the similarity to these lyrics from Sondheim's Send in the Clowns: Isn't it rich Aren't we a

Please present to the jury any and all charges you have against your fellow JoeUsers. Oh, what a can of worms this could open if some of JU's less humorous members get a hold of it. I think I'll go point them here.... <img s

I wouldnt be surprised if our fake, flaming troll has opened a new blog to flame s/he/itself. Exact same M.O. (Ironically, my posts have become the antithesis of this article's message. )

Welcome to Marrero, Louisiana, just across the Mississippi from New Orleans. What do you do when you move into an apartment owned by a cop? First, you lie to the sheriff deputy that only you, your daughter, and your three grandkids will live there, but crowd in 15 people. Then you have the electricity turned off while you transfer it into your name. Then y

Thanks for the comments everyone. Is the mainstream media really that afraid of bloggers? Turf war. No-one likes to see their power and authority erode (not to mention a loss of audience equals a hit in the pocketbook). Using the techniques of propaganda and "discrediting the enemy" tends to
