I have asked this question many times in the past and still get the same problem whenever I try to apply icon packs from stardock products. I no longer try to use icon packs at all but luckily you can change the settings in MyColors so that you can choose what parts of a theme activate when you apply it. Or you can install the theme and then apply just the skin from WindowBlinds if you have it.
Why do you no longer use Icon Packs? What problem do you have?
Hey there.I recenlty bought Sins over digital download, and got access to somes bonus material, such as a Sins theme for MyColors. I decided (stupidly) to give it a try, as i'm a big fan of the game. While the theme was good, i still prefer the original aero theme, so i chenged the theme back to vista aero (in MyColors).Almost everything went back to normal. The folder icons, though, didn't change back to the original. What's funny is that when the folder is empty, it looks like a normal
Well done. Excellent video.
Well i recently purchased Object Desktop 2008. Installation craps itself pretty soon after starting install. This is the error:"The installation of Impulse (a pre-requisite to Object Desktop) failed. This may be because a previous installation of Impulse has not been fully uninstalled. Please uninstall Impulse if a previous install existed."I find it hard to believe since i have never had Impulse on my computer. So i go to the control panel and uninstall the Impulse item and then try ag
Does anyone happen to know if 64 bit support for MyColors is in the works now seeing how a lot of the issues for 32 bit have been ironed out? Or perhaps a beta for us OD subscribers?
We are currently working on that. :-)
Because of the launch of OD2008, I finally decided to download Impulse and give it a try, especially since IconPackager4 is available only there. On the Updates page, Impulse noted correctly that I had an older version of IP and informed me that the new IP was available.I clicked on update, and was promptly informed that "The registration you have entered is invalid. Please check your selected product, email address and and serial number and then try again."Since the email address and s
The real problem is a businss problem, not a technical problem. It works like this. The 64-bit OS comes out. If no one migrates to the 64-bit OS, then people writing the software look at their user base and think, "why should I spend the company's time and money developing a 64-bit version of a particular piece of software when most of my consumers are perfectly happy with the 32-bit version." So as a result the people writing the software wait until there is "crit
Alright - so what is the answer here: Is Impulse still in beta (as this forum subgroup and thread seem to indicate)? Or is it production (as the main forum group, the locking of all "problem with Impulse" threads, and the thread for "Discuss issues here" seem to indicate)? How does one actually get the program to RUN once it is installed?Installed on WinXP Pro SP2, Comodo Firewall Pro 3.0.21.329 (latest) - with Impulse and ImpulseMini set as Safe/trusted apps. Behind Corporate proxy - I
I wasn't disappointed, I was terrified. It locked my system up solid. I thought my rig was a goner. I finally got it to respond, and uninstalled it. Even that didn't work correctly. I spent the better part of my morning manually rooting out the various files that it installed, and even now I'm not sure that I got them all. God knows what it did to my registry. Sorting through that will be this evening's project. If this is the future, then the future is a screaming, frustrating hell.I'
There's a bug with Impulse not recognizing the GalCiv2 expansions because it seems that SDC is not putting all the key values in place for them. If you are handy with the registry, you can manually fix it by following what I said in reply #5 here.I've mentioned it in various threads around the Stardock forums, but it seems that Stardock has yet to come up with a fix to get those registry key values inserted. As to why Impulse locked your machine up, I can't be certain. I've installed it
My Anti-Virus software (Trend Micro 2008)complains that impulse is trying to change my internet explorer settings and blocks this from happening. Please explain to me why your program thinks it needs to mess with my internet explorer settings. I must consider the application a malicious security threat at this point.
We will look into this issue.
Where is the option to ask me where to install the application and put the start menu shortcuts? Maybe I don't want these apps installed on my C drive. A person should have the ability to decide where an application resides.
Click on the Stardock logo in the top left corner. Select preferences, then folders. You will find a location in there to select where each "network" gets installed (games/desktop/tools). Each one can be configured to a different
Virtual Dekstops. Will they still be available after or not?If not can we get an installer version of them?
Virual Desktops can be installed through Impulse.
Can you explain about the four MyColors themes for OD subscribers? I'm about to purchase a few but don't know which ones will be available for subscribers. Also, is "Quest" one of the four? Thanks.
Currently Quest is bundled with MyColors when installed, but it is not one of the "four" as it is already available for free out on the MyColors web page. We will be releasing them throughout the year.
I just Purhcased Object Desktop last week, do I get free upgrades to 2007 OD or do I have to purchase something again? At work right now, I figure this might be easily answered when I get home and run OD..
If you purchased Object Desktop before today, you were automatically upgraded to Object Desktop Ultimate.
Zargon0225 I appreciate the link to the Press Release. Thank you. Also good job you are doing, if no one has mentioned it yet. Keeping the members informed and providing needed answers is always a nice thing to see in the forums.
Thank you for your kind words.
Is there a way for OD Subscribers to get the Windowblinds skins from the My Colors themes only? Thanks.
Object Desktop subscribers now get a discount on MyColors themes (see the ODNT Discount link on every MyColors product below the buy button). When you apply the MyColors theme, it extracts the skin so you can apply it with WindowBlinds as well.
Silly question, how will we know that the launch has taken place? Will Frogboy make a post?I see that Object Desktop Launchpad has been updated, is that the launch?
I see we're STILL waiting for x64 support for IP (as of 3.99.143). Any news on when us Vista x64 users can expect a little loving from SD given that MyColors has been added to our Ultimate Subscription, again without x64 support. These Vista stock icons really suck guys
We are working to provide the x64 version soon.
