No info here, but given that there are still connectivity issues, I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't see a Beta3 until sometime next week or later.

I was able to log in yesterday fine, but I haven't tried today. Have you ever been able to login successfully, or is this only a recent problem?
some people expected that the 2nd Beta would have actually been playable for them to do some sort of online testing of the gameplay and balancing.
Then "some people" weren't paying attention. Beta 2 has always been about network connectivity. I really don't know how the developers could have been any more clear on the fact that gameplay and balancing will be done in Beta 3, not Beta 2.
So, I just want to say that trying to play this game online is just aggravating. Yes I know its a "Beta," but I preordered the game thinking I would actually be able to Beta test the game with other players to balance and make Demigod a great game.
I"m sorry but the problem here is your expectations of what Beta 2 is. Beta 1 was core engine, Beta 2 is network connectivity, and Beta 3 is gameplay. So yes
As Beta3 gets under way, I'd really like to see enhancements to how Generals can manage minions. I'm not saying this is the most effecient way or the best way of playing, but thus far I typically just summon my minions and have them tag along. I don't really interact with them in any way, but rather just keep them around as almost like a "buff" (whether it be damage or healing). Part of the reason is that General control of the minions is extremely limited. What I wo
If it's not him, it's someone that sounds exactly like him... or rather Saruman. :P
Was their damage or number of spirits changed recently? They were beating the crap out of me last game I played in 2D :P
Wow, that could be really useful. And did I hear "free" correctly? Gonna download this once I get home.
Not quite sure what you mean with the Starcraft reference. It did have modding...
I'm getting the occasional little hitch/stutter as well, although the FPS generally remains constant. I'm on a ATI, though, and sounds like the FPS slowdown is nvidia related...
Thanks for the tips, Tyo! I'll try that my next game.
This has probably been brought up many times before, but just wanted to throw in my two cents. Targeting demigods (sometimes even yourself) can be difficult in a thick of a melee. This has become really apparent when trying out Sedna. I love her Healing ability and her playstyle, honestly she will probably be what I play when the game goes live. However, it is very very difficult to target a friendly moving demigod with a heal when they need it most.</
Unless of course, winning is how you have fun. Shocking though it may be, people have different ideas about what constitutes "fun" than you do.
What was the point of the sarcasm? Of course people have different definitions of fun, I never said otherwise. The "hey here is the optimal build order / unit spam that wins 90% of games so this is what I'm going to going to encounter nearly every game I play ad na
Great list there, Brad. Let me know how #5 shapes up and you can bet I'll be picking that up! As for #2, best of luck to you! I'm doing my own weight loss project right now, although mine started in mid-November.
Can you imagine what would have happened if Epic games had gone under and was now defunct? Everyone would be SOL... and THAT is why I stringently oppose DRM of this sort.
Yea, I hear you Serik. I love RTS games, but RTS games generally consist of my friends and I playing, doing coop against ridiculous amounts of AIs or whatever. My experience with RTS online play has been for the most part poor. I played a lot of Warcraft 2 (shoutout to the Kali days!), Starcraft, Warcraft3, etc online but I grew tired of the approach taken by the majority of online gamers. I try to win, but winning is kind of secondary to having fun. I'm not in
I don't think "time pressure" has anything to do with what makes an RTS. Yes, it's a common theme/approach, but it's not necessary for it to be RTS. Europa Universalis fits the definition of "Real-time Strategy" far more than most RTS games do (most RTS are really real-time tactical), and you have the capability to pause in that game.
The game is also scaled down in size, though. You're controlling a smaller number of units than a typical RTS.
Wiiiiise fwom the gwaaaaaaave! So, looks like Entrenchment is coming out shortly. How much do I have to pay Annatar and Manshooter to update this thing once it goes live? :) Seriously though, there anything I can help with?
In canada, especially in Quebec we are taxed when we sneeze so we are use to it. Welcome to the club. If you make more then 50K a year you pay the the crown 52% in imcometaxes. The you have the federal taxes and then you pay the provincial taxes on anything you buy. So when I buy a game say 40$ you have to add 14% in taxes. It's like that for everything here. Online purchases as well.
<
To the OP: Have you played Supreme Commander? It's definitely an action-packed RTS but it's larger, more strategic scale makes it far less... "twitchy" for me. For me, one of the absolute best RTS games (that no one ever played) was Sacrifice.
This resposne sounds curt and I don't mean it as such, so please don't take it that way! If you had spent as much time checking the game options as you did writing out the paragraph+ regarding lack of mouse scroll for the screen, you would have found the option! Go into game options and enable "edge scrolling", I believe it's called. Hope that helps, and thanks for taking the time to provide feedback to the devs!
Apparently this may be a new thing, but here in Utah I'm now finding myself getting taxed for online subscriptions as well... never happened before, but now anything like an MMO subscription or the like, the good ol' state gets their share. Pff! I'd be okay with a local state taxing internet purchases if it can be shown that there are costs associated with it. For instance, a brick and mortar store located in a city uses and takes advantage of certain things, such as infra

Wow wow wow, that stuff sounds amazing. I can't wait!!!!
