Yea, this suggestion has been made before. GPG seems open to it, hopefully we'll see it in game.
I've had this problem before in the past, Dark, and made a suggestion to have a portrait icon for each ally as part of the UI that can be targetted. I know it was read by Tyo, so hopefully that or something similar will be implemented at some point. As it is right now, it's just damn near impossible to cast beneficial spells on an ally in the heat of battle.
I'd give the edge to Gandalf unless Yoda can ride around on Frodo's shoulders - then all bets are off.
So you have Bacon playing as Vasari and he teams up with Cake who selects TEC. They start a 2v2 match versus Sausage (Advent) and Pie (Vasari). The map has one star system and 32 planets. Who wins? P.S. SERIOUS RESPONSES ONLY, PLEASE
@ goodgimp: This game should not be balanced 1v1, or even 2v2. Thinking every Demigod should be balanced against each other 1v1 is unrealistic and would make for homogeneous gameplay. It is also possible to move and attack as melee, I suggest you take advantage of that. LATE GAME they can shred towers. But so can Queen of Thorns, a "For
Gameplay isn't slow-paced at all. That being said, this isn't a twitch game ala Diablo 2, don't expect that. It's an RTS game with some action elements. That is, if you see a Rook roll a boulder at you, you can (and should, lol) move out of the way. Also, I think I heard today is the last day to get into beta, just FYI (at least I hope it's today, and not yesterday).
So what would you do as the Unclean Beast vs Oak when he has his minions out? Moving is nice, but eventually you'll have to stand still to hit him. Honest question though, what would your recommendation be for a melee fighter to fight him? Their damage does need to be reduced, IMO. Right now they just absolutely shred towers and defenses, I don't think that's right.
I personally so far haven't had a problem with this thus far, but if it becomes too powerful I'd say increase the channelled time of the Orb of Health? That way it'd still be a strategy for Oak, but he won't get the full effectiveness of it. I don't play Oak much, but I'll have to try out that combo and see how cheesy it is :)
I think since they are special minions they shouldn't benefit from the item boosts. Morale is enough for them.
I don't like this. Boosting minions from items is nice. There's no need to penalize them in arbitrary ways, I think they just need a HUGE hit with the nerfbat. They're so crazy right now I almost think someone accidentally stuck an extra digit on their damage or something xD
What do you all think of something like this? General starts with a base (Tier1) idol of each kind. Rather than buying replacements for idols, he instead buys upgrades in a sequential order. So an upgrade to Minotaurs would be be something like T2: 600 / T3: 800 / T:4 1000 (numbers completely arbitrary, I'm just pulling them out of the air). That way, previous upgrades aren't wasted like buying lower-level idols are since they aren't being replaced per se, you're jus
I apologize if this has been brought up before, I've ran into it a couple times now and just wanted to raise the issue. I've now had 2 games where the Rook AI has gone braindead. The first game the Rook was played by an opposing Nightmare AI player. He reacted and fought fine at first, but later just shut down, stood there, and let me kill him. He did seem to recover after the death and start playing again. The second time was more serious. In this case
First, please bear in mind that neither Sins nor Demigod is a Stardock game, Demigod is a Gas Powered Games product, with Stardock publishing and assisting in many aspects. That being said, Demigod is clearly a multiplayer focused title. Originally, there wasn't even going to be a single player component until Stardock became involved. So no, I wouldn't expect the single player to be mindblowing but I'd hardly say it's going to suck - it's just not where the

I can't even remember the last time I owned a 32-bit CPU, I don't think I've ever owned one in the past 5 years. 64-bit CPUs were introduced into the mainstream in what, 2003? I really doubt the majority of Windows 7 beta users are running such ancient (in co
Those pictures are forum-icon worthy :)
I wouldn't say your Core 2 Duo is obsoleted by the i7, especially depending on what your main computer usage is. Core 2's stand up quite well in gaming. Frogboy, I agree it's disappointing that MS is still supporting 32-bit in Windows 7. For the latest and greatest OS, there's really no need to keep supporting an ancient architecture. If people want to run 32-bit, XP does a very, very good job of it already. 64-Bit has been around for years and years. I
I really like this idea and my tired mind has came up with some more suggestions. What about abandoning that idol shop thing and making idols player level dependent only? To avoid confusion you may want to rename the subject to Beta 3 instead of 3A; I think Frogboy said they are going to try have a 3A version out next week.
As for having to choose between equipping your demigod and buying citadel upgrades, yes, I think that is intentional. Citadel Upgrades Assassins only have to buy: 1. Items 2. Cit
I tried a couple games as the QoT and focused my build heavily on minions/shamblers. Shamblers, Compost, Entourage maxed out, items were geared towards +minion stats, etc. The build was quite weak, the shamblers just seemed to lack any punch to them. The skills spent on Shamblers, Compost, Entourage were much better spent on the QoT's attack line. The Shamblers, even with maxed entourage, also seemed overshadowed by the 'base' minions like siege cannoneers and minos.
The gold usage right now in Demigod seems really out of whack. As a General (specifically I was playign with teh QoT) there is just too much necessary to spend gold on in order to be effective. In order to get minions, I need to dump a lot of money on Idols. However, this leaves me with no money for gear. Without mana regen items, this makes keeping your minions in combat very difficult (and on top of that, they're not that effective early on). The alternative
