This request is already in the beta request list somewhere but maybe it's good to bring it back up. I'd love to have that too. I'm more of a WAXDYC guy. It's easyer on my fingers and I'm used to it. On this note: Is it possible to map some keys to additional mouse buttons? I know that I could do this by first mapping keys to the buttons with an extra profile in my mouse driver to but this shouldn'd really be neccessary - this is 2009 af

Just wanted to point out that Frogboy in his post stated that 3C is mainly for internal infrastructure testing.
Thanks! Looking forward to updating when I get home.
Yea, I'd like to see this too :) I dont know why they're locked.
The idea of a "hard" chokepoint in a space game is just thematically wrong, but from a gameplay perspective I think Starbases make plenty hard chokepoints. The premise that fleets "instaheal" after leaving the gravwell is false, since not only do Starbases cause significant hull damage, it drains their anti-matter! That fleet may have bypassed your starbase, but it is now extremely vulnerable. YOu can't just plop one starbase down and expect it to never be bypassed,
But that's the beauty of it. I can play Regulus as a tank if I really want to, but I'll never be able to tank like Rook can with the same items. You can play to your strengths or be insane and surprising, and that isn't something that needs nerfing or capping - it's what will give this game depth, imo.
I have to agree with this. For a strategy game, you want as many options as possible. The only time
I think it's one of those things that is just very hard to read in text. When I first saw it I took it as a case of nerdrage or someone throwing a tantrum. :) That being said, they probably just didn't want the profanity in the subject line.
That sounds like either a real severe driver issue or there's a hardware problem somewhere, especially if you're seeing distortion/static on the bluescreen itself. Best of luck on getting it resolved.
I prefer Evochron, especially if you like Multiplayer. That being said, I only just purchased X3: Terran Conflict two days ago. I'm still trying to configure it correctly for my joystick, grumble. The joystick configuration for that game leaves a lot to be desired...

Given the timeframe these games are to take place in and existing War rank limitations, I don't think a cooldown on Citadel upgrades makes sense. It's true you can horde gold and dump it on upgrading to Giants, but it's already controlled by: 1. War rank, you can't rush straight for them. 2. Gold. Sure, you can hoard gold and dump it all at once, but you've been missing out on Priests / Angels the whole time, putting you at a disadvantage.
:D Making posts about deleted posts is rarely a recipe for success! I'm sure GPG gets to see the content, they were watching the thread enough to nuke it :)
I feed off of the emo in this thread. Nom nom nom!
Please do something about Sedna and Queen of Thorns heavy minion builds. Both Yetis and Shamblers, in my experience, absolutely suck. Add in extremely high mana cost for the summons (for Sedna and her yetis), it makes it even worse. If you believe a balance doesn't need to be struck here, I'd encourage you to play Sedna and focus on her Yetis or QoT on her Shambler skills and see how you stack up during a game.
Agree with you on all your suggestions, Ke5strel, thanks for taking the time to make them (it saved me from having to make a lengthy post :))
Dalzk, what about QoT shamblers? My experience using them has been quite poor. Have you had much success utilizing a shambler-heavy build?

When I pre-order a game at Gamestop, even if I paid full dollar in advance, I have not yet received any product. So of course I can cancel, they haven't SOLD me anything yet.

The point was the scoreboard in the screenshot. The two players I was playing with have the same experience and skill level as I, but look at the difference. I also know that Spiri

An Advent turret is now roughly equivalent to a capital ship in effective hp.
Is that bad, though? Compare their turrets to that of TEC. TEC turrets get rocket pods, beam cannons, etc. Advent's just... shoot (albeit for more damage). I'm primarily an Advent play
QoT and Sedna both need quite a bit of love in the minion department. Shamblers, even when fully specced for them, just really don't seem effective.
I agree with basics of what you are saying but, the minions get pawned in any pvp game for instance hammer slam will kill all you minions as will mines, fire nova, wave of spikes, post mortem/plauge. so its unlikley they will even survive the first few seconds of an encounter the exception being rook's minions since they seem to fly in a pretty large are and most avoid the aoe. If you then couple this with the fact the AI is retarded even on night
There's something more important than towers with this, and that's the Citadel. Ever see how fast one goes down to Spirits fully upgraded with Morale? And with how mobs/creeps congregate at a Citadel, it's like an unlimited supply of them. I still think they're too powerful as is, I notice my friends have a very, very hard time holding ground at a flag when I move in with Oak and his entourage.
The QoT is in the same boat as Sedna, gkrit, and she's not a support demigod like Sedna. The problem isn't that Oak gets more than Sedna or whatnot. The problem is, with the way it scales, I can instagib any demigod of my choice, including the Rook. Not only that, but all I have to do is grab some Spirits, charge straight at their base, and level theri Citadel before they can mount a defense.
