Polyamory is in the spotlight lately, in my hometown. Maybe it's because everybody who has been trying to write something 'different' for end-of-term final papers has also decided to resubmit them in the school newspaper and the local papers have caught wind of it. Either way, it's making for some interesting reading and provoking thought. I'm pretty

I just limited their ability to affect ME on MY blog. That's how I feel about it. What happens on other people's blogs is not my business; I have every opportunity to walk away from it. On my own blog though, I don't even want to be bothered with someone whom I find offensive. And, I don't want anyone w
It's funny to have a song that can completely change your past dark mood. I'm at my University library which I absolutely love, all because of their high speed computers. And the possibility to listen to music while I blog. Everyone knows that I am an 80's girl, and there is an 80's channel that I love to listen to when I am here. And, after feelin
To make it even more laughable, Mum and Tony weren't even at home when we got there at 12.40pm!!!! I rang them, and they were only 5 minutes away, but they told me 12.00, so I was mad.. I could have got another 20 minutes of sleep, and that is priceless!!! Sleep is priceless when you've had an extremely
I listen closely and ignore what is in the air of silence unheeded warning signs of a darkened day live for a tomorrow that will not come if I close my eyes to the signs around me I feel unafraid of threatening mornings, dream of blissful afternoons that bleed into a red sunset ending. <!-- Ju-A
Nice post, and I identify. Blockbuster is the bane of my existence as a movie watcher. I just need to watch new things, and in a small town like where I am from, sometimes the only option is Blockbuster. I hate their late fee policy. I hate almost everything about them, except the sheer numbers of movies that are available. Which of course, is why I continue to go. And pay extraordinary prices for instant gratification.
When you are on Joeuser a lot, you begin to follow other people's train of thought, whether you really want to or not. It's hard to ignore certain bloggers, because sometimes they respond to blogs that are of interest to you as well. There's only so much you can do... you can scroll as quickly as possible if you don't want to read their stuff, or avoi
It definitely makes the third movie looking to be more compelling than the first two prequels. But it also makes me sad. Sad that George Lucas squandered the first two movies with such poor directing and allowing such poor acting to spoil what were, otherwise, reasonably good stories. Whether that be Jar Jar wrecking the first mo
Thanks Dharma, Muggaz and Enigma... Dharma: Strange... Chocolate does do wonders... thank goodness for Easter... at least I can blame the consumption of it on the season! Muggaz: Your comments on my blog and elsewhere always bring a smile to my face. Even though the probabilities of us ever meeting are slim (unless I win the lotto!), I'm glad to know that you are you. You make me happy. Enigma: It does help to know that others fe
Pain in place of desire Aching with no respite. I enjoyed this part... and don't give up so soon. If you checked out the comments for some of the amazing poetry on Anti-Prose Link you'll see that
Looking forward to reading. Glad you signed on.
, I just let fly at marvin on his blog about what will happen if gay marriage is legalized - and I'm not proud of myself. i held back as much as i could, but right now i just want to hurt him..i mean physically hurt him. that man has the ability to piss me off like no other...!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAARRRRGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! </TR
I've had a hate-on all day. I've been angry, annoyed, upset and generally just pissed off with everything and everyone. Why? Who knows? You'd think I'd be in a better mood because it's so sunny out, and the wind is smelling of spring and promise. There's so much to be happy about: my brother's coming down for the holidays, and it's the first time I've seen
Enigma, Thanks for the imput. I think you've provided some good points for thought. The people in the audience you want to impress may be the person/thing pushing you (because you want to please them), and maybe the people you're attracted to somewhat symbolize the other side of what you want to do? I thought that this one was particularly apt. I like taking a stab at understanding my dreams. Some are so inane that I can'
As I said in a previous post, overeating is one thing, but are you seriously telling me the exlplosion in obesity is due to unhapiness of some sort? That the US and other Western economies have citizens that are so unhappy that they are eating theselves to death? I'm not linking it to 'just' being unhap
Btw, that's not to say that I didn't identify with your first post here... in fact, I know exactly what you mean!
Most people seem to think that if it doesn't rhyme it's not poetry I don't know... I think there is a lot of good poetry that doesn't rhyme. I think it's all about flow, and in a sense, non-thinking. The more I try to search for the appropriate word, the harder it is to read. Sometimes just lettin
Congrats! You've been busy! It's been great reading your stuff. The day to day stuff, the stuff that makes me think , and of course the stuff that makes me go hmmmm. Mostly, it's been great getting to know you. Wishing you well.
Before I even made arrangements to watch the show (since I don't have TV at home), I knew that poor Lex was a goner. The second he saved Amber's ass, I knew that. How's it feel, Lexy? (He was responsible for Ethan and Colby, the two that I wanted to see win, but didn't think they'd have a chance either. Nobody likes the pretty boys to win. Or, one with bucks, I guess.) I personally think Lex's last marker was rigged. He had enough air. He took two tri
Forecast for my area is sun, sun, and more sun! I am hoping that this is the end to that snow business. I'm actually looking forward to this long weekend!
For quite some time now, I've been basically dreaming the same thing over and over. Usually I'm at some party or performance, I'm requested to appear and perform, and as I'm about to, I realize that I have no idea what I am doing. Sometimes I am supposed to be playing the piano or singing a song. Or dancing with a whole lot of other dancers. Or I am supposed
There are a lot of other factors that you have failed to mention that contribute to obesity. The fact that many of us work in sedentary jobs rather than working the chores that our ancestors would have to survive is a great obstacle to overcome for those who quit gym in highschool and replaced it with nothing at all (physical education classes being the one area where activity of course, is a necessity). What about requiring employers to mak
I want to be all that I can be. A good person, a loving, caring and responsible parent. Intelligent. Thoughtful. Helpful. Compassionate. And the list is endless. But I want to work at being all these things as steadfastly, and willingly as possible. What's the point in trying if you're not happy or find some positivity in doing good? I don't want to feel bad about the time that it takes me to get it together, either.
I've decided it is due to all the misconceptions of gay life by a population that is either living in the dark ages, has watched too much TV, or doesn't realize I live next door I don't think a whole lot of people who are affronted with lifestyles that are different than their own realize how many people who are living differently are also a part of their community, their church, their family... many people who keep quiet are those tha
I'm a Grammar Master. I don't even know which one I failed to answer correctly, but I must admit that the question that took me the longest to answer had something to do with more than one Mr.. Oh, and the punctuation question was a bit tricky as well.
