i got something you probly never heard... how do you create a virtul explorer.. in other words view a directory structure, and have DesktopX show it in either an explorer pane or a 3d plane there are lots of vb tutorials on how to get a dir structure. im sure they could be made to do what you want. Here is a tutorial sViz did on something like this: WWW Link Id look that

Ronan, I do not know how you change the DESKTOP RIGHT-CLICK menu with DesktopX, i have never seen a setting for this, or a way to program this option. The only RIGHT-CLICK i know of is when you click on an object or the tray icon. Unless someone else knows how to do this, i have no idea what to tell you.

when you click on the desktop an annoying menu comes up with Favourites, Programs etc... on it and i would love to be able to turn that off altogether or modify it in some way. Ronan, I believe you want RIGHT-CLICK from Stardock, its part of object dock. Here is the link: RIGHT-CLICK Here is what it says: RightClick lets you design your own right-click des

There is a reason some of us upload gadgets vs widgets, the scripts. If i spend months on something and im planning in selling it (which im doing more and more now) i dont want my code out there form someone to reverse engineer from. If i post a WIDGET or OBJECT I feel im saying LOOK IT OVER, but if you use it (well more than a small part of the code) let me know, and ask if its ok to upload your version here. There are a LOT of Stardock Scripts, load DX, import a widget, look at an

There are a LOT of Java/VBSCRIPT references out there, but i was planning (and have) on having scripting tutorials that would cover the BASICS of scripts. I believe there are a LOT of ideas out there... its making them a reality that is not the easiest. I had thoughts a while ago of working on a "DX Service Site" that would allow people who want something built for them to go and request a quote, and maybe partner up with them on sales. IE: Holiday Countdown was the idea of Zu

If I don't get some kind of feedback, I'm going to cry. No one (excluding RomanDA, Island Dog, Bebi Bulma, Zoomba, Frogboy, and about 40 other people) wants that now do they? Well you have to gripe to the RIGHT people! Thats how things get done mate! Since its not something I use, I cant offer suggestions, or maybe you can tell me why i need to use it?

Scripting! How is it done and where can it be learned? Are there scripting programs, or do you just pull it all outta your head? Well... Zubaz will tell you i never code anything myself, i "Take" what i need. The truth is, he is very close to the truth. The BEST way to find code is to first determine what you are trying to do. For instance, how about checking the time between 2 dates (for say a COUNTDOWN program of some sort). I f

My plan for this is to start VERY simple. With a "lets make a widget", provide the graphics and scripts, and show people how to put it together. Then move up slowly to more complex widgets. As for using scripts, if i post something on here in a Tutorial its all yours, have fun. You might want to note "thanks to RomanDA for the scripts" thats all i would ask. I like the suggestions so far.

You know those lists that show that if you bought bottled water by the gallon its like $40 or if you bought white-out by the gallon its $500 or something like that.. Well HP calculated how much Inkjet Toner costs / Gallon... Ready for it.... $8,000 (US) / Gallon!!!! What a crock... and im sure it COSTS them about $10/gallon.

If someone was to take the time to make a Good starter guide as well as a more in-depth guide to DX, what would you want to see? Ex: How do i make a simple clock? How do you make a Folder Object? What is a Group? How do you store settings in DX? Etc? Please be detailed, it can help.

I have a laptop i work on all day (and night at times), and both at home, and at work i have the laptop DOCKED, meaning i have a port replicator that the laptop CLICKS into to make it simple to move from home to work and back. It keeps my network, monitors, cables all connected, and just pops the laptop out. Well anyone who has this situation knows there is an option in the start menu called UNDOCK COMPUTER <img src="http://farm1.static.flickr.com/150/381130032_892c4a3620_o.jp
