We might as well just trash the Olympics if the South Koreans win their appeal, because in the future, Olympics will be decided 3 to 4 weeks or more after the fact in a court of law. This is ridiculous, and, quite frankly, not even worth the time it took me to write this response, let alone to read the article. <

Um, my favorite games are tetris (3-person on PS2 or gamecube or xbox or something like that), Carcassone, Guillotine, Rook, and of course, Poker. So I don't think I'll be knowing where that quote came from. (Unless it's that all-time great game, You Don't Know Jack, itself a wonderful way of feeling dumber and dumber.) -A. P.S. hope your headache / nightmares go away. Remedies? I know none. I drink water, but for the latter, that mig

This seems to be a pretty clear case of the FIG wanting to shift the focus from themselves to Hamm, which has apparently succeeded (sort of "you'll solve this for us if you give it up"). The underlying and IMO more important issue is that scoring errors were made in the Hamm / Yang case, and then after Alexei Nemov's high bar routine when a Malaysian judged changed the scores after the crowd booed so long. In Salt Lake it was the pair skating

Uh, wow. I had no idea. It just seemed to ridiculous to ever google Women's Pro Football.... Thanks for the link. Though I did notice from the pictures that there are about 20 fans in the stands. If they played in bikinis, d'ya think there'd be more? (Grr. How degrading of me to think that.) -A.

talk about a bit of a role reversal... After posting, it occurred to me, as did the fact that this is my lamest blog ever (sorry 'bout that), that I hope people know I'm a girl. I played varsity flagball in highschool and did the mud bowl in college a couple years. Good stuff, football. Too bad there's

I've only been married a few months and H is driving me crazy because he always wants to figure out how to "fix" things, and there's nothing more infuriating than being asked, while in the midst of a towering temper, what can be done to fix it. Grr. The answer is, nothing. Let me be mad (I clean when I'm mad, so it's actually very productive) and I'll get over it and we can move on. So I guess H would identify with you. I can't understand why

Janders, I don't think imajinit should've written that on your blog, but I'm going to take a peaceful, fence-straddling (and perhaps painful) approach and say you ought to give him a second chance. He used to be on JU all the time before getting deployed to god knows where and he did just get back. I would imagine that it's a little hard to see what a soldier sees juxtaposed with the worries at home. That isn't to trivialize what you wrote--I posted th

From something awful or did you get this from a mirror anglo? Er, I'm not quite sure what you mean.... But yeah, it was 28 pages of LMAO funny. -A.

Polyester and an iron set to 'cotton/linen' don't mix well. Good to know. That's a clever idea--I hadn't come up with the "laundry" accident yet. And even if they did start to fall apart, H is the kind of guy who would wear them, anyway, so they'd better be absolutely tattered and in pieces before he'l

This lake has no trail leading to it. You have to hike uphill at approximately a 40 degree angle (sometimes less, often more) for about four miles to get there. It's full of small brook trout that an osprey was keeping its eye on. Despite it being late August when we made the hike

Or maybe it is just a release from the insanely mind numbing experience of pouring through databases. Hey, what the heck is wrong with you? That's how I get my kicks.... I have this thing against databases: the ones I've worked with aren't configured to import well into Excel (for mass mailings

I actually think that those who are the most violently opposed to reality TV are closet watchers themselves. I think it is almost humorous to see them go into apopleptic fits about how much they hate reality TV, how evil it is, etc. *comes out of closet, vein bulging with apopletic rage, face red and sw

Or wear a chastity belt? I'm sure one can be fitted for men hahahaha... I can see it now. The "lock on" Codpiece Yes, but the only problem for Phoenixboi is that he has to give the keys to the damn customs officials... <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgCol

Wow, Ravenblack, you have guts. I get embarrassed that I know who got voted off "The Apprentice" tonight (lame, lame, lame stupid lame stupid 3-week-old fight amongst women). (Too lazy to change the channel 's all.) But I disagree with your last comment: BFOF made me sick. I watched two half-episodes toward the end, enough to find out that she had decent parents who were not pleased with the scenario and she made fun of them and then said, "Bu
