Don't crap on my lawn Does that have anything to do with the Christmas tree incident...? I'll take the cornflower blue crayon, though I always liked eating the lemon one. -A.

I wrote a blog linking to yours--I hope you don't mind! No I don't mind. But this is one of those times where I wish I were one of the more popular bloggers, if only it would help get more people reading and thinking. Grr. That's the first time in years I've wanted to be popular. Apathy is so frustratin
Then screw the UN. If they're not going to help, then work through other means. But don't get caught in the quagmire of pointing fingers instead of doing something. Shades, there's something very sad about having to post links so someone can find their representatives. That said, I've only recently taken up residence in my state so I had to find out. Thanks for the links. I actually e-mailed my senator and got a(n automated) reply the same day
This is Sudan. Many of us aren't super great at geography, so here's some perspective for you: This is what's happening in that country right now: "Every single day you go out to see another burned village, and more dead bodies," he said. "And the children - you see 6-month-old babie
GENERAL NOTICE: Pigeonhole for sale. Measures 9" X 11" X 6". Only one owner. A few years old, lots of wear. Fairly uncomfortable but just right for college students and 20-somethings looking to be misaligned, ignored, marginalized, and swatted aside for their silly idealism. Reply if interested. $10. your right I think they get all embarressed about it and slink away Yeah, or maybe there's enough drama on JU and they don't want to start any more of it. -A.
This is the problem with the blacklisting feature: The blacklistee always blogs about how they've just been blacklisted, then everyone gathers around the water cooler to discuss it. If you've been blacklisted, deal with it. If the person has an e-mail account that they list, drop them an e-mail to find out why. Otherwise, let it go and keep this stuff off the forums, fight or no fight. -A.
I have to admit I am not a fan of stream of consciousness writing, but (insert standard disclaimer) of course I mean no offense to you. On the writing evolutionary scale, I think that stream of consiousness is very untrained and usually very rudimentary. I'll grant that there will be a few brilliant pieces out in the world, but I'm not sure what they would be (besides yours, of course...). <img src="http://images.stardock.com/JU/smiles/Smile.g
Hmm. As one who says thoughtless things from time to time, I fully support the verbal smackage. We need it on occasion. -A.
My cat makes messes like that in his litter box every day. You just want us to appreciate it as "art" because you say it's art. Hmph. If so, you have one heck of a cat. (And BTW, this seems like one of those times, looking at a person's artwork, where if you can't say anything nice, you should shut up.
I read it as "ninjaforever," which makes you unconscionably nerdy but also a little bit cool. -A.
Thanks. My score doesn't appear to be worse from the wear, so perhaps the points system is running fine. BlueDev, I noticed recently that I was able to give someone an insightful and it rated them positively; however, when I gave Ravenblack an "interesting," it did nothing. So I don't know what's up. NJforever, glad to hear of another who's reformed. I wonder if you had to make a clean break with a new name or go to a new forum, because I have to admit that my deep-seated bias would pre
Contrary to how it may appear here at JU, I am actually fairly interested in politics. I keep up with the news and my local politics; Thursday during my lunch break I wrote to my senator. I vote, I get mad, I write letters to the editor and opine at length to a few friends and family. Generally speaking I am interested in the opinions and stances of all sides of the p
I don't mind Texas--it's a great state with an interesting history, and I think it's quite pretty in parts. But I can't stand the Texas attitude, probably due to the Texans who've migrated north and maintained that attitude, thereby villifying a lot of places and things I love. I'm not a super violent person but I'd be tempted to punch the next person who tells me "don't mess with Texas." (Plus it always sounds like they're the kind who don't
Just wondering where you've been... -A.
Ahhh the sweet sensation of shafting someone through kindness... And the sweeter sensation of being the one who got shafted and not knowing who to be mad at: the person who was nice to you or the universe for spitting on your shoes. -A.
a. I'm tall and can reach high places she can't get to, b. I'm strong and can lift heavy things, c. I'm useful to have around in case she needs protecting, d. I'm honest and reliable, and e. I'm great in bed (okay, I'm saying this myself, but I'm sure she'll agree with me). All perfectly acceptable reas
I also read it as "last" blog. Weird. BlueDev, I've temporarily suspended my won't-read-poetry-on-the-Internet attitude for this one. What can I say--I'm a sucker for poetry, eh? -A.
L.O.L @ Mugz (who, I hear, is quite a meanie. Funny, I never saw it...). -A.
I have a blog on blogger.com but that's only 'cause it's where me and my Oxford pals get together to chat. Plus it takes me so dang long to make friends that I don't want to go through that again. And I kinda like many of the people I've met here and have a hunch that if I were to move my blog there, they wouldn't follow. -A.
Why is it when I give someone an insightful rating, their score goes down , yet when I troll them it goes up ? See Gideon's "Too FAT for surgery" blog on the front page or in "health and medicine" because BlueDev and I were discussing it. Is it just me or are other people's ratings doing this, too? Thanks for making this more Firefox friendly. I was delighted when I realized I can now use the quote and text styling features without
Thanks, Maso. Glad I'm not the only one. I'll admit to spending a disproportionate amount of time on my titles, though. Usually I come up with something clever, then second guess myself out of using it and put something more stupid, and then right before I hit "submit" I change it back. It's a really stupid quirk and I should get over it. Case in point: "Argh! Unclick! Unclick now!" <img src="http://images.stardock.com/JU/smi
troll me and see what happens. Yeah, your score went up three points, from 19042 to 19045 when I trolled you. In the end, a net gain of one measly little point. Er, so, should we, like, tell someone? Or maybe the admins think I give bad ratings, so they're playing a cruel yet also very cool trick on me? (Come to think of it, I know a lo
BlueDev, I have a confession: I gave you an insightful for what you said above, as I was going to post something like it but knew you'd be more informed than I. Anyway, so I decided that if I were to give you an insightful, at least I could understand what it does to a person's score. So I opened up the ratings page and it said you had 19039. So I clicked "ins
I am amazed at how disrespectful and juvenile some adults can act at times. Any Wincustomize readers who stumble here will know of what I reference. Oh, but I suppose the good old JUers have seen our own share recently, eh? Eh. *nods head affirmatively.* -A.
