Nope, but it is a line from the Soundgarden song "Outshined", so close. May you enjoy your time working there and with the Peace Corps and be safe in all your travels.

I just woke up from a little nap after my first ~30 hour day of call on the Labor and Delivery unit at the hospital. It is a weird experience to be there that long. I was rounding on patients this morning and had to keep reminding myself to talk to them about their delivery yeste
Sir Peter - While I entirely understand the reason for the show, and find it to be highly entertaining as it is, I was simply commenting that higher production on the show would simple give it even more power and prestige for those who listen. Something I surely believe you deserve. But as it is I will simply say thank you for taking me off the blacklist and hope that you understand my posting was never meant to take away from the show and it
Well, this is the second time I mentioned I expected higher production value from one so wealthy and powerful as Sir Peter. Perhaps I upset him. I iwll resign myself to no longer commenting on his blog I suppose.
Wow, for the first time in my experience here I have officially been blacklisted. It is sort of fun you know. I have to admit however that I am at a loss as to why though. I simply commented that Sir Peter Maxwell really ought to fire the peasants he had produce his latest show as the production wasn't fitting to a man of his standing in society. I stopp
Haha dharma, glad to know you figured out my screen name. Nothing too creative, I know. But it works for me. Still sending all the positive vibes your way that I can.
So sorry to hear about your rough and no good day dharmagrl. I hope that things work out well for you and your family.
Thanks for the rundown. I have never been to E3, but think it could be alot of fun. As a PC only gamer myself that is the news I like to keep up on. Half Life 2 looks good, but I have to admit to PC gaming heresy here. I hated the first one. Really didn't like it at all. So I am having a hard time getting too excited. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. looks good as well, but I get easily bored with FPS games, so it iwll need to have something different for me to w
dharma and Dave-I know I am reading this a little late in the game, but I just wanted to extend my thoughts and hopes that things work out the best for you. I am sure you both wish you knew what that "best" was at this time, but I know you can persevere through this and will come out on top. Wishing you the very best!
Oh, I know there are Institute classes out here. My wife was taking one for a while, but it is down on the UNC Chapel Hill campus, which makes it a bit inconvenient. Oh, and the horrendously long hours of medical school (~90 or so some weeks) don't make it easy either. That was whay I meant about not having the ability to take 'Tute classes anymore. As for more about me you are welcome to read what I wrote over <a href="http://bluedev.joeuser.com/i
Hah, fun blog to read. Having moved from Utah out here to North Carolina about two years ago it is always fun to read about things and places I am familiar with. What Institute class is it? History of the Church, or D&C? Man, I miss having time and ability to take Institute classes!
I wasn't really impressed with any of them tonight. I agree about the effusive praise being heaped on Fantasia. Nothing special for me, though she did a solid job as always. Again I was missing Latoya tonight. Diana did all right. I think she finished the night much better than she began, which is good. Don't think I am going to vote tonight, no one really connected with me.
You know, I can see that happening. Pretty weird, but I can still see it.
I have never tried to categorize myself according to that site, but have posted it for others because I think it is so great. On a couple occasions I have been called both Philosopher and Ent . I am okay with either of those.
Well, just to make sure my opinion doesn't carry too much wieght, I am only a medical student. That aside trina, I just haven't seen any good evidence that links increased allergies and things like asthma (basically an hyper allergic reaction) to earlier exposure to solid foods. To my knowledge (which is admittedly lacking) there just doesn't appear to be anything more than incidental and anecdotal evidence to suggest there is a link. I
Good article. It can be tough to nail down the specific reason. I realized I really loved my wife when (before we were married of course) I could see myself spending the rest of my life with only her, and being happiest that way.
I certainly hope Diana wins the whole thing. As I have mentioned before, I don't think Jasmine has any place there at this point, Fantasia's voice does not agree with me in the least, so that only leaves me with Diana. I thought that "Superstar USA" would be funny, but after the first 20 minutes or so I wasn't being entertained enough to warrant keeping it on, so off the TV went. Meh, I needed to work on my presentation anyway.
Thanks for the kind words Dusk! One of the best things about being here at Duke is we actually do our rotations a year earlier, so I have a year more to think about what I want to do and really explore it. Otherwise I would be making a decision right now about what I was going to do for a residency, without a whole lot of time to investigate it.
Best of luck with the entire situation dharmagrl. Thanks for keeping us updated and know our thoughts are with you and your family. And I really hope that headache gets better!
I really think it is a shame too. She has such a powerful voice, and her ability to use her "whistle register" is quite impressive. But it would appear that she has lost touch with the music and is working too hard on the image, and that doesn't work to her benefit.
dharmagrl-We are talking black out, drop you to the ground, make you dry heave sort of pain. It is seriously bad, and it just gives you this sick-in-the-pit-of-your-stomach feeling. And knowing full well how bad it hurts I really don't know why I still laugh at it. Odd. But it is funny, one of the classic fall-backs for comedy. If nothing else is working, hit some dude in the nuts and you are sure to get at least a few chuckles, right?</f
Thanks Teegs and Shulamite! Yep, I am LDS. At least I described it right, eh? I am really looking forward to this opportunity. It will be tough for the next couple months as I finish off clinical rotations and am really unpredictable on Sunday's, but once that is over it will be great. Thanks again for the kind offers for ideas and such!
Thanks for the encouragement. It should be fun, but will certainly be a tiresome experience. And don't be surprised if I take you up on the offer for ideas!
It happens again and again. Every time I see it I wince. I wonder why it is funny, I know it shouldn't be funny. But every time it still makes us laugh. Face it, we just love to see guys getting smacked in the jimmies. "The family jewels', "the boys", "the 'nads", and so on. We have a thousand names for them, and a thousand ways to hit 'em. Kick
Today I received a surprise. This morning I was asked to become the teacher for a group of 7 year olds at church. Oh boy. I am not too sure how things are done in other churches, but when I tell folks how we do things they act like it is odd, so I will briefly explain for the sake of clarity. In our church we don't have a paid clergy, rather we hav
