The Lord God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him." Now the Lord God had formed out of the ground all the beasts of the field and all the birds of the air. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name. So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds of the air, and all the beasts of the field. But for Adam no suitable helper

Just look on the bright side, Karen....by the next time you need a cut or trim, you'll be far, far away from the crazy woman with the scissors and the razor!

I don't think I can remember when I insulted another just because they have a different religion. But you are NOT the only teen responding here...so perhaps it wasn't you. I didnt see anyone mention you by name, and I'm not going to read back through nearly 200 posts just to find out WHICH teens made the remarks.

Who ever said that we were insulting anyone? Nobody had to SAY it....we can read it. Some of the comments made by teens on this thread have been very condescending toward the beliefs of others.

Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in Our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground. So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea

My almost 12 yr old daughter creates Sim families just to start fires and watch them burn up....I'm wondering if she's a closet pyromaniac or something! Now, she does have people that she actually plays the game with the way it was meant to be played, but when she's had a really bad day, she'll get the game and say "I just feel like burning someone up, Mom!" And as for Shea being ....odd.....she IS her mother's daughter, after all!!! <img src="../images/smiles/smile.

Honey, you should give up your day job. ...since my "day job" is wife and mother, I don't think the family would be too thrilled at that idea!

Just wanted to say that I've been where you are...my folks split when I was 17 and my brother was 11...and my first reaction was relief, and maybe even a little happiness---no more listening to the fighting, no more feeling like we all had to walk on eggshells around each other, etc. Even though I, like you, felt that my mother's personality contributed a great deal to the situation prior to the separation and divorce, I did not have the luxury of choosing to move out and live wi

"And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, 'Now the dwelling of God is with men, and He will live with them. They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." He who was seated on the throne said "I am making everything new!" The He said "Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and

Their brother, who chose not to partake in the tinfoil hattery, has asked me to post this picture of him to show that he's "weird" too: Okay, it's official...they are all three weird...and wonderful! <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgColor=#FFF394 class="

You have weird kids. Keep up the good work. And this surprises you WHY exactly? ....Karen, you know I love you, right? And weird can be a GOOD thing...at least that's what I keep telling my kids when they tell me that I am weird!!

It is more like we can get into trouble if we get caught at least that is what one of the teachers said to us. That is total bologna....as a former teacher, and a parent of current school students, I can assure you that individual, or even group, prayer and/or religious discussion is not allowed to be stopped as long as no school personnel ar

There are two books entitled "Jesus Freaks" (1 & 2) put out by DC Talk and Voice of the Martyrs. If you are truly concerned about the esteem of your peers, it might do you well to read about people who put their very LIVES on the line for their faith. I get mailings from Voice of the Martyrs, and keep current with their website....talk abo

....I am cracking up....this is SO something my girls would do. I'll have to share this pic with them, see if it leads to anything. Today they warmed and bent crayons into letter shapes to make plaques for me and Barry that say MOM and DAD.

Well if God doesn't want you to be gay then are you really a Christian? If God didn't want people to be gay, then he wouldn't make them that way in the first place, IMO. You base that comment on the fact that yo

I'm not exactly sure but I think God wants us to be STRAIGHT. A gay couple, married, who says they're christians haven't learned that you have to give up stuff such as relationships that he says aren't good in his eyes. You're not sure, but yet you're sure enough to say that gay Christians aren't really Christians? In the end, tha

That girl I dated really punched me in the eye when she told me that when I call her on the phone (as I did a lot since at the time I was travelling more often than not for work) I had a responsibility to be open and share all of my feelings and thoughts while she did not. Her reason? Well, I initiated the conversation.

Oh Jill..what a horrid experience for you. Thank goodness that everything turned out okay! And no, you're not a bad mom, not at all....these things can happen to the best of parents. Children are unpredictable--and they move faster than the speed of light when they really want to! Relax, take some deep breaths, have a glass of wine, and enjoy the life of a mom!
