Hmmm.... 1) You had accidentally submitted 2187 game twice thus preventing you from submitting 2190 game. or 2) 2190 game failed to submit and you need to resubmit
Or the game was corrupted during submission process. :notsure:
I have to agree with AeonOfTime, I would have used the suggested third option.
Ditto.
Hi SLW! If you want to interact outside the "empire" forum, just keep posting here. There are still plenty of us who still frequent this forum either actively or as lurkers. So what do you want to talk about? :)
The "distribution of voting power" area in the U.P. screen is messed up. Although the pie graph correctly shows all 7 AI's plus Terran relative strengths, the list of empires is messed up. The list appears like this: (name of empire) (name of empire truncated) (name of empire) (name of empire truncated) (name of empire) % of votes (name of empire) % of votes (name of empire) % of votes (name of empire) % of votes and
Well done MD!! :D
No problem guys! I only wanted to know what changes were made so that I can help Stardock get AP gold. :)
Tech, those are old changes for L to M. I was asking about changes exclusive to today's new version R.
I'm curious to know what changes are in today's update.
Actually, part of the explanation of why the galcatic forum is slow might be that: 1) there are many fewer game related bugs 2) most of the important game related questions have been answered satisfactorly [Message Edited]
A totally different tech tree. Not the mess that is the GalCiv 1 tech tree where you have to hunt down third party made tech trees. I mean something very streamlined and clear. This is propulsion, these are weapons, these are economics, and so forth
If you do this, I'd like the option of simultaneously researching each of these separate trees. The overall research level vs production could be set with sliders like it is now. The individual allocations could be set with a
I took a look at your game record. A cursory glance shows a huge gap with zero Nov '03, Dec '03, and Jan '04 games and second gap between Feb 20 and March 25. Its that March 25th 60K game that has just dropped into a block all it own. That's a 6K drop as the result of 10% decay right there. Everytime around this time of the month you're going to take at least a 6K hit from just that one game moving into a new block. And that doesn't count any other games decaying. As you score gets higher, you w
I do have one more question though. What are those symbol-things at the bottom of your posts
You can see what the symbols are exactly by placing your cursor over them. The only one that doesn't show up is the gold or blue bars that indicate the number of games posted.
In addition to Icho's great advice, I find that it helps to build constructors at a few planets since each planet is allotted an equal amount of money whether you build ships or not. By building a starbase in the path of your mini-freighters and adding trade modules to them, one can increase the income generated by mini-freighters as they pass through sectors that contain these starbases.
There are three boxes that need to be filled. First: Alias box place Punk-Mentor Second: Box before @ sign is where you put part of your email that appears before @ sign ie: say your email is ***@####, put *** in first box Third: Box after @ sign is where you put part of email after @ sign. For above exmaple, put #### in second box. Fourth: Hit Submit button and wait for main menu to appear (might take several seconds). [Message Edited]
I've tried submitting a few games also, and I don't even show up on the metaverse. What changes to the XP firewall settings need to be made?
Clicking on your name shows that you have NOT registered a player name yet which is different from registering a Stardock ID. Go to metaverse screen, find "register player" on left hand side of screen, and register a metaverse player name.
I just finished a game with the afore mentioned changes to your mod. IMHO the Enhanced Environmental Control is a little better with the 100 BC cost increase. Your Starbase modules came in real handy in my last game (especially the trade and resource ones). :)
You got it! :)
It is already more expansive then Life Seeding and habitat Imp. which do 10%, but I'll think about it
As you can tell from the way I worded my previous response, I was uncertain whether EEC was too cheap. I think I might use GalCivWriter to raise cost by 100 BC and play one game with this alteration. I'll let you know whether I feel this works better or not. Ultimately, mods should be how you feel they should be. Luckily GalCivWriter is quite easy to use and one can alter
I just finished another game with your mod. I used GalCivWriter to change Enhanced Scout to maintenance 1. The rest of the techs, improvements, etc seem to be well balanced cost vs maintenance vs attributes. The only improvement that might be a little to cheap to build is Enhanced Environmental Control that increases PQ 15%. Since terraforming costs 1000 BC to increase 20%, you might want to bump up EEC a few hundred BC more. I can't wait to see your ship-graphic update. :D :)
The sensor drone doesnt have any maintenance does it? The lack of maintenance cost may reflect the fact that new technology has overcome fuel and upkeep costs of the vessel.
The Enhanced Scout is not a "low" speed drone. For where it appears in the tech tree, it is too good a ship to be zero maintenance.
The Enhanced Scout needs to have non-zero maintenance. Since the normal Scout is maintenance 1, your Scout should be a least maintenance 1. An advanced ship should never have less maintanance than the normal ship or it will unbalance the game.
I played one game with current Halut Pack, several of the other certified mods, and a few of my own creation. There were no apparent conflicts that I've noticed. I think a complimentary "evil" pack might add some spice to the game playing experience. I will try to give a more detailed analysis after playing a few more games since the "good" AIs died early and I got a good morality fairly late game.
