the problem lies in the game. It allows moded political parties to have the same name as default parties. Now that we know this can happen, it is obvious that this is a weakness in the game allowing strange things to happen.
Yes, but as I have stated, it isn't allowing that is a problem. It is the fact that the characteritics of the parties used at the start of the map aren't saved, in order to be sure that pol parties don't move during a game

I guess that to prevent modifying parties during the course of a game, the parties used at the start should be in the savegame. And when a reload is done, these pol parties are read from the savegame and not from the data and mods directories.

Goodness is only affected buy colonization event and planetary event, not by the means used to get a planet. Using Terror star to destroy system won't affect your goodness rating. And how will the Good win the final fight against Evil, if their are denied to have a military win? :) [Message Edited]

For MASO survival, one important thing to remember: stay out of wars until you are able to deal very important blows to the AIs. And a good AI is always an AI that is fighting war for you ("divide and conquer"), so you just have to act behind the curtains [Message Edited]
They also stated that everything was the same
I guess that is the point which annoys Weyrleader: what is exactly submitted, to see if there is some logical problem. Example: if only the researched techs are submitted, you could conclude that some cheating is involved since you will be able to research techs that need some you haven't researched but obtain through trade. But the submitted data won't show you the trade. Another example: if the date of finding

Here are the list of the cheat code available. Cheat codes need to be enabled in the options screen. The use of the following cheat codes lead to a metaverse score of 0. CTRL A - Adds hit points, move points, attack points and defense points to selected ship. CTRL B - Creates a battleship at the cursor. CTRL C - Copies the selected ship. CTRL E - Decreases morality. CTRL G - Increases morality. CTRL H - Heals selected ship and restores it's movement. CTRL
if you're good, you're not gonna get an alliance victory with all evil civs, I'd imagine
There is only one thing needed to ally with a civ: to have the relation status set at close. Sure, good civ will have hard time to improve relations with evil civ but high diplomacy, trade routes and bribes (BC over 100 turn or tech) can be helpful. If you plan an alliance victory, try to ally with all AI in the same turn if you don't want to be dragged into war.

There is a bug in the stats screen for the AI, I have seen for some times but forget to report it, when checking the AI trade routes: If Altarians have the systeme Calinor and Carinoids Russel, the trade route between Calinor and Russel will be described as: Calinor to Altarians (Russel). Which is strange and don't easily help to find the trading partners of a given civilization.
I'm a little gun-shy about governors in games like this.
Well, I guess it depends on what do the governors in the different 4X games. In Galciv, they are just a building queue. They have no initiative.

Is it possible, for our own enlightment, to know, for each of the people whose scores were removed, how many games were found to be cloned?
Suffice to say you will nto get the exact same galaxy twice
How many galaxy id are there? I suppose that if someone really get the same galaxy id twice without cheating (on the same computer or with different computers), they should really consider to buy lottery tickets :)
Given that GalCiv (base game certainly) has random maps, the odds of two games having identical maps are about zero.
I guess the problem is with lothmorg, who have submitted 1.13 games at gigantic maso with military vitories. So there isn't any user defined maps in this case. And he constantly get 60K. BUT all fastly scoring formulas with 60K victories I have seen, involved AP and diplomatic victories. [Message Edited]
As far as the governor goes, I wouldn't know, since I never use governors in games like this. Ever. I'm talking about where I specfically say "Build the following ships in the following order, and at the same time, build the following social projects in the following order."
The governors in Galciv allow to define build queue at empire level for social improvements. You should try it. You have 4 available governors, and each planet has Ford as the default governor. Ma
When you submit all your scores to the metaverse, how do they come up with the score they post for the rankings and such? I figured they just added up all the scores that you posted, but that's not right, and it's not an average either.
In the Diplomats Senate Halls, the following thread http://diplomats.galciv.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=90 explain the calculation with some real examples.
Allow players to que up building tasks.
Isn't this already in the game with governor and the option no to go to planet when governor finish a social imporvement and go to the next?
But pretty much it's attack an enemy unit, watch a .25 second animation, and combat is over. Again, I STRONGLY urge that this be an OPTIONAL portion of the game
Isn't there already an option for desactivating all the nifty graphics in space combat?
It apparently takes a few months for the removal to have an effect, so removing them one at a time will make little difference. I suppose you make a demolish queue to do it for you.
In some games, I get planet with all improvements with +5 BC for maintenance. Being able to scrap them as soon as I get the planet is very nice for my budget :)
